The USPS has been doing this since 1918. Crazy to think it has been efficient and normal to ship live chicks through the mail until like, one month ago.

Highlights:
Rhiannon Hampson thought she would hear a cacophony of cheeping when she went to her post office in coastal Maine to fetch a delivery of newly hatched chicks. But the cardboard boxes addressed to her poultry farm were silent.
“We could hear a few, very faint peeps,” Ms. Hampson said. “Out of 500, there were maybe 25 alive. They were staggering. It was terrible.”Some chicks are getting lost in postal warehouses or spending days on trucks, farmers said. Others are getting smothered or crushed in the deluge of boxes created by America’s coronavirus-induced online ordering. One hatchery in Pennsylvania lost 3,000 chicks in a recent shipment.Senator Jon Tester, a Democrat in rural Montana, has received 4,800 calls about the Postal Service since the pandemic began. One of the complaints was from a neighbor in the 600-person town of Big Sandy who ran out of medication while waiting for a refill to come in the mail. (Mr. Tester’s Republican counterpart in Montana, Senator Steve Daines, also objected to the postmaster’s new policies but did not respond to an interview request.)couldn't be more true now than ever before:

4500 dead chicks in Maine, whose Senator pushed the PAEA act in 2006 to cripple the USPS

I went to school with a political consultant who's done some work on Gideon's campaign and he said to me recently that Collins is toast and the polling is making it look closer than it is. I'm sure he's biased but I think this might be the nail in her coffin.
The fine people of Maine will probably vote against their interests though.
Yeah but it doesn’t affect CosmicCowboy in any way, so it.
All Maine has to do is vote along party lines and she loses by 7-10% (Trump's approval in Maine is around -20%). Susan Collins has been popular in the past due to moderate Democrats in Portland/Augusta liking her as someone who "reaches across the aisle". If the in bent were anyone else, she'd probably be up 10+ points.
The general feeling among Maine Democrats is that her criticisms of Trump are shallow and insincere (i.e., she voted against repealing Obamacare, but then she voted for the budget reconciliation that modified the individual mandate to create a new argument conservatives could use to say Obamacare should be struck down as uncons utional). They sarcastic phrase "Susan Collins is concerned" has apparently caught on like wildfire in Southern Maine.
They'll just blame the USPS for being inefficient and socialist.
Baby chicks died in the mail cuz Trump![]()
Why do you think that after 100 years of the USPS being a reliable and safe way to transport baby chickens, tens of thousands of them are suddenly dying in the mail due to delays after Trump's appointee made sweeping changes to the USPS? Be specific.
Also people not getting their medication in the mail cuz Trump.
It’s just all about lulz for you!
What's funny about that?
Be honest.
It happens every year.
Post your proof.
Be honest.
Predictable response. No point in trying to have a good faith discussion about this when you’re just trying to trigger da libs.
Anecdotally, the post office where I live has gotten worse over the last few years. Very common to have to pick up my mail from a neighbor.
But more frustrating is that sometimes, they don't even make a mail run for a particular day. Which is fine if everyone knows in advance but it come out of nowhere. And no one can seem to explain it to me which days they are and aren't working.
Hundreds more examples for those of you who just found out baby chicks were shipped in the mail
Muh Russia
Muh Mailman
Muh Baby chicks
All in the past year?
that honestly doesn't help your argument.
But you had to get your condescension on.So insecure....
Now get to Googling some more.
Honestly.

Quote from the video: "Tina said she's never had any problem with chicks being shipped before"
This is literally a video of someone getting a shipment of chicks and showing that they're all alive
No, there's not, you posted 3 youtube videos (1 of which was a video showing chickens that didn't die), and all 3 of them were from 2019. Just because you glibly mention that there's "hundreds more examples" doesn't make it true.
Your original claim was that "It happens every year" and you could only find a few anecdotal examples from 2019. That's not every year, that's last year.
The last video is a guy showing he got a shipment of chicks and none of them died![]()
That one came form Honest Broker Farms.
That sucks, but in my experience during this pandemic FedEx Smartpost has been the worst - until USPS last mile, no issues shipping or receiving with USPS.
Yeah but “Trump triggerd u, lulz!”
