Warnings of DeJoy Scheme
to 'Kill Postal Banking' as
USPS Reportedly Considering Plan to Let Wall St Set Up ATMs in Post Offices
"What JPMorgan Chase wants to do looks like another attempt for big banks and corporations to privatize our public infrastructure so their shareholders gain while working families suffer."
JPMorgan Chase, the largest financial ins ution in the United States, is reportedly in talks with the U.S. Postal Service about a proposal
to set up ATMs in post offices in several states across the country—
a plan critics warned is an effort to eliminate the possibility of a public postal banking system.
DeJoy ... is "considering a proposal from JPMorgan Chase (JPM) to offer banking services in post offices in a move that could give the Wall Street giant an exclusive right to solicit postal customers."
big banks have long been fervently opposed to the idea of a USPS-provided banking system.
"Banks oppose the idea of postal banking because it would represent another source of compe ion for them."
the plan being explored by JPMorgan Chase and the USPS
"would be no more than a rental of ATM space in exchange for the elimination of a potential rival before it gets going."
"This wouldn't expand services for the unbanked,
wouldn't change the terms that put big bank financial services out of reach for poorer people,"
"It's designed just to stop postal banking from being offered with an exclusivity agreement.
It's more an an rust violation than a deal."

“IT LOOKS LIKE THEY’RE TARGETING BLUE URBAN AREAS”:
NEW POSTAL SERVICE PLAN IS SETTING OFF ELECTION ALARMS
the Expedited to Street/Afternoon Sortation (ESAS) program, the initiative, launched by the post office on July 25,
focuses on more than 1,200 zip codes zones around the country.
“It looks like they’re targeting blue urban areas,”
“If this is true, we have never seen this level of partisan weaponizing of the post office.”

They're ing over rural voters too, intentionally or unintentionally
This looks like a directive that's been carried out by Dejoy with gross incompetence.
that's where the Dems are, in blue cities, esp in cities in battleground/swing states.
Not much detail

New do ents show postal delays are ‘far worse’ than previously known
The do ents released by Maloney show
a 7 to 9% decline in mail delivery going back to July. including in First-Class, Marketing, Periodicals, and Priority Mail.
DeJoy, a donor to President Trump and the first postmaster general to not be a career postal worker, took over USPS in June.
The Postmaster General and his top aides have never admitted to the sweeping delays and reductions in service caused by his actions and detailed in these new do ents.
the top Republican on the Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer, testified repeatedly before the House Rules Committee that there are “no delays” with the mail and “no data” proving the delays are real.
Two days earlier, Comer and House Republican leaders Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise sent a letter to Chairwoman Maloney and Speaker Nancy Pelosi arguing that
nationwide reports of delays are nothing but
“conspiracy theories” being “manufactured” by Democrats
to “undermine President Trump” and
support “an unnecessary bailout plan.”

Postal workers are speaking out to save our democracy
“You don’t just go and tell management, ‘Hey, I saw that. That’s not allowed,’ ” Scott Adams, an American Postal Workers Union local president in Maine told the Portland Press-Herald’s Bill Nemitz.
“At some point you have to hold their feet to the fire and say,
‘I’m telling you, and I have been telling you, you follow the rules.
And when you don’t, we’re blowing it up.’”
in the Milwaukee area where workers organized and refused to follow the new rules.
“Can the union do something specifically about what machines they have or don’t have in the post office? No.
Can the union be part of a movement to share with the public what’s really going on and
be part of a movement for change?
We’ve seen that in the last month.”

Will Trash/Barr send their goons to punish postal staff who refuse to sabotage what they have built?
Questioning underway. Washed up Democrats asking stupid questions and failing to make the most of their time per par.
Wish I could fast forward to the part where AOC and Porter and ask questions.
Lynch is killing it, but I disagree with him about sending notice of late election mail, that's proper disclosure.
Yeah lynch was great, but he should have left himself time to actually ask questions![]()
Gym Jordan foregrounding voter roll maintenance and ballot security.
Hilarous hypothetical. Gym Jordan is suggesting the post office delivers stacks of ballots to single occupants, drop boxes and abandoned properties; he just extracted an admission from DeJoy that he can't prevent it from happening.
That was Gary Palmer, not Gym Jordan. Anxious to hear from Jordan though![]()
didn't have the screen up, Palmer was screwy enough to fool me.
thanks for the heads up!
“A postal employee can be prosecuted for delaying the mail, but you can delay ALL the mail and get away with it?
DeJoy is horrible at this
Gym Jordan is a one trick pony at these hearings.
Krishnamoorthi dude completely exposed GYM Jordans bull conspiracy claims
by exposing how the RNC Donors bypassed any process and background checks to install trumps million dollar donor...
will Pelosi impeach Dejoy? firing him 21 Jan isn't sufficient penalty
