Anti-maskers might want to check out what just happened when a woman with coronavirus visited a Starbucks

    Do masks really work?

Ask the dozens of Starbucks customers who tested positive for COVID-19 in Seoul this month after

a woman with coronavirus sat under one of the cafe’s air-conditioners.

According to a local news report, at least 56 coronavirus cases have been linked to that one customer.

The kicker: The four masked workers avoided infection.

all the states that have been experiencing a decline in COVID-19 cases, such as hot spots like Florida and Arizona, have put some form of mask mandate in place and have also tapped the brakes on some of their reopening policies.

The ‘excess deaths’ tally in the U.S. is 204,691 in 7 months —

so COVID-19 deaths might be undercounted

The number of excess deaths exceeds the number attributable to COVID-19 by more than 16,000 people

It took only seven months for Trump to trash the credibility of one of the world's top public health organizations.

It Has Come to This: Ignore the C.D.C.

The agency’s new guidelines are wrong, so states have to step up on their own to suppress the coronavirus.
By Harold Varmus and Rajiv Shah
Harold Varmus is a former director of the National Ins utes of Health. Rajiv Shah is the president of the Rockefeller Foundation.

The C.D.C., the federal agency that should be crushing the pandemic, is promoting policies that prolong it. That means that local, state and organizational leaders will have to do what the federal government won’t.

the governors and college/school leaders pushing for in-person classes will NOT be held accountable for unnecessary 100Ks of diseased and dead people.

Trash and his mafiya, with Repug pols' enabling, have ed over America, and 50M will still vote for Trash.

The oligarchy, and their d plutoctracy, don't give a about the non-oligarchy.

They're insulated from Real Life with their $Ms, $100Ms, $Bs

"The InAuthentic Opposition" Dems can find nobody better than corporatist, neocon, neoliberal, faceless, colorless Joe ING BIDEN?

America is ed and un able.

I bought clippers and have been cutting my own hair the last 5 months. Not as bad at it as I thought I’d be

I did that a couple of times. It was a hot mess.

Had to cover my botched jobs with hats.

Thankfully barbershops are fully open for business here so that's not a problem anymore.

I got better results the second time I gave myself a clipper cut. The first time it couldn't be saved, so I went full Daddy Warbucks.

My dad did my first COVID haircut (long story), and my wife the second. Oddly enough my 76 YO dad did a bit better than the wife. Shhhhh.

I think a lot of men are going that route. I think this whole episode is going to change a lot of habits. not hugely but it will move the needle a bit. fewer people eating out, fewer haircuts etc.

A lot more people working from home occasionally, will really cut down on traffic a bit.
