Never gave a crap about his antics with Monica or whoever else. He got stuff done and had a balanced budget for crying out loud. We have not had anything close to that since. Just a bunch of out of control spenders and wars that don't make much sense.

You have only so many silver bullets in your magazine, as creatures enter the room what criteria do you use to know which creatures you'll be left with that you can handle or live with? Is lying about a blowjob a cardinal sin? (no pun intended about cardinals but still) How about lying about weapons of mass destruction? How about lying about you being able to choose your primary care physician? How about lying about raising taxes (or not lying but being evasive about it)? How about lying about selling or giving weapons to the contras in the Iran/Contra scandal? How about lying about why you're keeping troops in Vietnam?
The BJ lie doesn't get a silver bullet. I'd be more concerned about his loss of focus that allowed terrorists into the nation to plan and stage attacks. In fact, the leadership in general is too consumed with political appearance to pay attention to national security, and when agencies are dragged into the fray or put on the chopping block for other politically motivated programs, the entire nation suffers - all to keep a head in office. Let's not pretend lying about getting a consensual blow job is atop the chart on that sin pyramid.

It’s more amazing to me how few senators have taken a stance against Trump. Even the ones up for re-election who are in danger of losing don’t want to distance themselves from Trump.
The string will be played as far out as it goes. There is no GOP, it's a 100% Trumpist party now.
Meh, if Trump loses they'll go back to plain vanilla trickle down economics, bible thumping and more subtle racism (i.e., "makers and takers") with a candidate who's polished and speaks eloquently. Trump is just a more extreme version of all the the GOP does, it was the party of underfunding government, voter suppression and tax cuts for the rich paid for by deficit spending before Trump and it'll still be that party after Trump.
Well, that's a prediction; mine's a description!
