New York is also one of the few states that pays more in federal taxes than it receives, I'd hardly call it a failed state. The failed states are the red states like Mississippi and Alabama that are sucking at New York and New Jersey's teet.

So then why did Chicago and Baltimore get brought up? We were talking about COVID-19 and the high death count in NY.
Because NY being brought up will be treated like a distraction, just like those two are when they are brought up. Eventually all dem cities will be restricted from the conversation due to them being distractions from the orange man bad narrative.
Is Trump responsible for NY having a low death rate now for COVID? If not, why? Doesn't he have more control than the states?
Shoehorning Chicago's gun violence and Baltimore's poverty into a discussion about COVID-19 is every bit as much of a meme-ish talking point as anything else. They're part of the repertoire of right wing talking points that are used by Trump supporters every time a Trump s something up.
The fact you're so bent on making them part of the conversation demonstrates how you're out of actual defenses for how Trump has handled COVID-19 - you need to make the conversation about something totally unrelated to COVID-19.

If you break it down by month NY has a low death rate in the past month if not 2 months. When they report zero deaths for the day vs the 1K+ they were reporting a few months ago, that's significant. Who gets credit?
