Pay attention to what he was doing the whole time and you realize it. He said many months ago he was a cheerleader for the country trying to avoid panic to avoid price gouging during PPE shortage. What Trump really deserves criticism for (and why he may ultimately lose this election) is his acting as a macho man the whole time, avoiding masks himself and not sending a clear message to avoid large gatherings and to wear masks when not social distancing. And his insistence that everybody get back to work by May 1st was complete B.S. and made him look incredibly callous, like someone only concerned about re-election and his economy. Let me also say Bob Woodward for holding onto a tape of the President of the United States expressing grave concerns privately about a deadly disease while publicly calling it a politically motivated overreaction. Thousands of lives might have been saved if he had released that in February, and enough pressure might have been put on the President to spark a thorough enough response (and responsible tone) that we could possibly be out of this whole thing by now.

But as usual, it's all about the book deal.
