Even if you believe that Corona is fake news, working together with people would've helped solve the issue faster. And if you believed that Corona was a super virus bent on destroying mankind, wait a bit to see what is really happening before pronouncing all doom and gloom. Instead both sides fought, nothing got done for months. We had a shut down that was a complete waste becauuse both sides were still arguing and telling people their side of the story. It used to be, in the old days, that we put up a united front when we lied/pandered to the people. I miss those days. Now it's constant ing and whining as if that's going to fix anything.

It absolutely should have been the first thing to do, not sure why you would back away from that, but it should have been the first thing to do for people who had the intelligence. If we find out that Pelosi had the same intelligence Trump had at the same time Trump had it, then I'd be with you completely on giving her blame, but I'm not aware of any reason to think she did.
Lets also not forget that Trump dismantled the pandemic response team and procedures Obama had put in place. There was no way to sound the alarm about a pandemic because there was no procedure on how to.
Chris Rock's comments are basically the equivalent of saying Neville Chamberlain is more to blame for WWII than Hitler since everyone knew Hitler was a 5 year old but Neville Chamberlain needed to play the role of adult who managed him.
