Trump has been a up all year. If he would have just got China to make him a bunch of MAGA masks in February we'd be doing a of a lot better with COVID and he'd be cruising to re-election. I don't think there is any elaborate election strategy in him faking it though. Just fake it, tweet every day for two weeks about how well he's doing, do some broadcasts, and then say see, it really was no big deal. Just a little flu.

if he was faking it, which i'm not convinced of, the motive i would see is just to change the news cycle from the debate debacle, the white nationalist , the contentious SCOTUS situation, and give him an out to avoid at least 1 debate... and perhaps the bonus sympathy points around him getting better
i dont see him lying to use this as a pitch about how safe the virus is, because nobody is going to be buying that as we start making our way toward a quarter of a million dead

That's Kushner, Stephen Miller, & Dan Scavino for sure, and a few more. If Kushner has it, there's a good chance Ivanka has it, etc., etc... I wouldn't be surprised if there are a half dozen positives in the next two days from the cabinet and their families.
