But I'm pretty sure some of the more progressive posters here said he was too robotic and Obama like for their liking. Pete is a moderate.
i think he either speeks eerily similar to obama as a coincidence, or because he somewhat practices that way. my issue was him was more policy driven than personality. i'd have voted for him in a heartbeat vs trump, but primary is where we can be more picky. plus there are legit concerns about name recognition when trying to draw national appeal for a general election
Yeah, a cabinet position seems like the best way to raise his profile and get some more "first openly blah blah blah" out of the way.

IMO given where we are I'm not sure why anyone would 2nd guess the Kamala pick. She's been a fundraising boon and I think having her on the ticket has almost baited conservatives into acting more crazy and alienating women (of all races). I thought her performance yesterday was mediocre but I'm also saying that as a white male, women make up over 50% of the vote and I don't think Pence rolling his eyes whenever Kamala was talking did much to win women over.
Pete is in exactly the right place, but I doubt Fox News continues to invite him on for very many more segments.

He’s a moderate that isn’t 77 with dementia. But he also hasn’t been in deep with the DNC for decades so obviously they smeared him when he started gaining traction.
But if he keeps his head down and is a good little soldier for the Democrats, maybe they’ll giftwrap him a nomination when he’s 70+ with mental decay.
