This has puzzled me for 4 years. Why didn't Biden run? He would have been the hands down favorite to win. Was it her turn, did Bill strongarm the DNC to over other candidates, and Joe decide he wasn't going to go down that road with Hillary in the race?
I think it would've looked somewhat despotic, considering he was the VP.

Also, Hillary thought it was "her turn".

    Would you grieve, psychopath?
Oh yes. Good lord, we're talking about one's own child.

I know you wouldn't because you've never known a mother's love. Or anyone else's for that matter.

    It's too late for you.

I guess I agree with your overarching sentiment that the Democrats thought it was a foregone conclusion that Hillary would win. But they were not blindsided by all the animosity against her. She had been a well-despised villainous creature for a very long time.
They were blindsided by the degree and extent of the animosity they were fully aware existed. I feel like this is crazy old news.

Hillary was the anointed one. Anyone who didn't like it was told to go pound sand.

Yup it’s the same reason Warren, Sherrod Brown and all the other rumored names in 2016 didn’t run. There was clearly a DNC agenda to clear the path for Shillary.
Aw I hate when you bring up Sherrod Brown. Makes my ing blood boil because he would have annihilated Trump in 2016.

George Bush was the VP and ran successfully after a 2 term POTUS.

I think both things can be true, that the DNC wanted Hillary and also Biden didn't feel like waging a primary battle with Clinton (and potentially the DNC) right after his son died.

If my daughter died... sure I'd grieve, but I'd definitely be over it by the next year. You can't live a pessimistic life just because something happened that didn't directly affect you. If you have terminal organ failure or terminal cancer, then yeah, by all means, moan and groan and and pull some , but otherwise, it's not a huge deal tbh.

People, even famous men, lost children all the damn time throughout history, especially when pre-vax childhood diseases took the lives of about 1 in 3 children globally. People should recall the past and stop living such a sheltered life where the loss of merely one child completely wrecks their life.
This is the most idiotic, naive and childish thing I've read on here in quite some time. If you lose a child you never get over it. You grieve for the rest of your life. You try to hard to be edgy but you come off as a green and know-it-all dip .

Why would it look despotic for a VP to run? It's pretty standard for the VP to run and get the nomination after the president completes an 8-year term. Right off hand, Nixon did it in 1960, Bush in 1988, and Gore in 2000.

It was Shillarys turn. It was all in the 2008 agreement
That's exactly right. 2008 was Hillary's year and the black man stole it from her so the deal was made.

It's amazing to me people can't see how orchestrated the D party is. There's a reason why I was able to tell libs almost 4 years ago that it had already been decided that they would be voting for Kamala this year

You have the popularity of Obama and the incoming threat of the GOP, not running the guy who was most closely associated with your b2b winner makes no real sense. Hillary had no experience to fall back on, but Joe had 8 years as the VP and many more in congress. Seems like a no brainer. Maybe because he was a white male? Maybe because Obama broke the color barrier for the POTUS the female barrier was next, and the DNC got more caught up in iden y/footnote politics than in running a good candidate? If Joe can win 4 years later, he'd have been a shoo in at that time

Even RBG wasn't going to retire until Hillary became POTUS.

Like Andrea Yates, Casey Anthony etc grieved hard for their dead children tbh? Never mind Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, etc... losing kids that got murdered by filthy American Indians. They sucked it up.

Also, there is no "rest of my life", because I'll NEVER die. Biiiyatch.

They didn't lose anything, they took those lives.

I hope you never lose a child but my intuition says you won't ever have that chance.

    DMC going HAM.

Losing your child is pretty much the worst thing that can happen to someone. Iirc like 97% of marriages end in divorce when a coupe has to bury their son or daughter.

George Bush was also a one termer, tbh... that's sort of the problem with 'continuation'... people get tired of more of the same.

See my previous post. It's a handicap. We know how Nixon ended, Bush ended up being a one term guy and Gore didn't win.
