I agree. Regarding Dem introspection, one side of the story is policies (tailoring state-by-state, cutting out the woke stuff). The other side is the package that delivers the policy. 65M+ people voted for an unprincipled, fact-free imbecile like Trump - twice - simply because they feel he's on their side, even if his policies (trade wars, Covid-19 response) were ing them over.

Dems need a populist, charismatic personality to compete - America has been dumbed down far too much for Dems to win on policy alone. Biden and Kamala ain't it - they need to prioritize form over substance

Yeah, Nixon was a fantastic president, watergate notwithstanding. Got us to the moon, improved the economy, built the WTC, solidified our Cold War advantage, got us out of LBJ's hole in Vietnam.

Trump did very little to nothing except for an expensive and dumb tax bill followed by an even dumber stimulus in 2020. He did put in 3 good SCOTUS justices, that's pretty much his only legacy.

I think Trump lost MN, way underperforming from his MN performance in 2016, due to the 2017-18 tax bill and state income taxes. MN needs to lower or abolish state income taxes (won't happen since the state legislature is largely Democrat) for a Republican to win unless that tax law is nixed by the Biden/Harris admin.
