It's all mail in ballots. If Biden holds his current pace (which why I'm not sure why now he wouldn't) CNN said he should win PA by about 40K or so votes.
Its just an extremely high pace to maintain. Trumps camp said Biden would have to win 78% of Philly, which Trump had a right to feel confident, that number is absurd

    326k votes left in PA.
Plus provisionals which are going to swing heavily towards Biden.

    skinny coattails

im feeling the effects of gerrymandering for the first time tbh... LA county was always pretty safe

but charlottesville is a liberal area, as is the entire county of albemarle. but our congressional district is drawn so obscurely that it heavily tilts red and drowns us out

Not when Trump told all of the people that plan on voting for him not to vote by mail.

Biden only has to win around 70%, he is currently winning at 78% pace.

It’s really not. Hillary won 82% of Philadelphia County, and Obama did even better. Biden only winning 78% of Philly would be an underperformance. MAGA s are acting like there’s some kind of law of physics that a candidate can’t get 80+% of the vote from a particular area.

Playing from behind is always so stressful because there is always that what if factor.

if their state election laws just let them process the early ballots before election day, the "playing from behind" dynamic would never have been a thing

the skinny on the "300,000 unscanned ballots" at the USPS, it doesn't necessarily mean that many deliveries weren't completed.

so PA is within 78-79k votes, with 326k ballots to go... biden needs about 62-63% from those to take it

So what? Biden is going to win PA by 100k plus votes? Not sure I buy that. More in the Wiscosin margin I would suspect.

There’s a lot of provisionals from black voters who got nervous about the USPS after they requested a ballot.

538 and NYT people had been talking pretty confidently about Biden winning PA going back to yesterday... they didnt expect it to be marginal

find anybody being confident about georgia being a blowout a couple of hours ago. show me the links

and even if georgia if you want to use that example, the trajectory DOES "mean ." the trump lead there is down below 10k now. the difference between PA and GA is that PA has way more outstanding votes and thus a much wider window for biden to win it. georgia was always a much slimmer shot than PA

An Update On The Vote In Pennsylvania While We Wait On Arizona

As of 5:15 Eastern, nearly 23,000 votes have come in from around Pennsylvania, and Biden has won about two-thirds of them. As a result, Trump’s lead has waned to about 90,500 votes, or about 1.4 percentage points (50.1 percent to 48.7 percent). A two-to-one ratio actually isn’t that great for Biden at this point, but that split had a lot to do with getting some votes from deeply Republican counties. Even then, though, Biden managed to break even in the latest batch from Tioga County (Trump has 75 percent overall there) and win around 63 percent of the latest from Crawford County (Trump’s at 71 percent overall). Bluer Lehigh County also came in with a sizable number of votes.

And critically, none of this involved votes from Philadelphia County. Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar just gave an update on where things stand with the count during a press conference, but hasn’t committed to a timeline on when we’ll know who won Pennsylvania, just stressed they are continuing to count every vote.
