Yeah, basically McCain took his supporters' outrage and quickly turned it into applause for Obama. Sure, it wasn't like those guys all supported Obama after that. But I can't imagine Trump doing anything similar to that.

The GOP had a choice to either go the path of John McCain or Sarah Palin after 2008, and it's a real shame it decided to go the path of Palin just because that was the strategy that would lead to bigger corporate tax cuts and deregulate even though it was the worse path for America.
So Don Jr. calls out Lindsey Graham on twitter yesterday and within several hours, Graham has dumped $500k into Trump's reelection campaign and then goes on Fox News to say the PA state legislature should nominate Trump's electors even if Biden wins the popular vote in Pennsylvania. Is it even a question that Trump has dirt on Graham?
Yeah its gonna be a legal battle for months. No doubt about it. I called it.
But it will come down to 2 things. Either Trump is evicted or there will be a civil war. Pretty simple.
