He was always going to mishandle it though, the prevailing belief was he'll be good with the government on cruise control but if we were attacked or some disaster happened we'd be ed. His response to Hurricane Maria in PR was our canary in the coal mine.

GOP is taking both of them back in 22 and 24, and AZ is flipping back red in the presidential race in 24. McSally is and always was a horrible candidate, and appointed instead of democratically elected. She's arguably worse than Todd Akin.

I'd say Biden/Harris will be one term presidents, but the funniest thing is that they each won't even get to serve a full term.

OK MAGA . Arizona has more California transplants every day while its old white conservative base dies off and while Lucha Arizona registers more hispanics. Demographics in Arizona aren't trending red, it doesn't have enough of a rural vote the way states like Florida and Ohio have.

It's funny, all the local and european media I've seen, when pundits explain why it's important to get rid of trump it's usually these 3 things in some order:

Pandemic deaths
Disregard for/attack on truth law and decency
Climate change / environment

When the us media I see, especially right media, the main criticisms are the economy and to a lesser extent deaths, but climate for example doesn't even register.

I think if he had the same deaths but the economy was great, he would have been reelected which is just insane but par for the course at this point.

Hispanics aren't red but are trending red. California will always be blue regardless of the Hispanic vote because the whites are just so liberal and hippy there. Same for Oregon/Washington. But if the next GOP candidate can carry >40% of the Hispanic vote in 24, it's very plausible that they can increase the lead in TX, win AZ and NV and come within a couple points in NM. Bush won NM by carring 40% of the national Hispanic vote. But that was before the immigration and build the wall crap.

I think if he had the same amount of deaths but just passed another stimulus package and didn't act like a horse's ass during the first debate he would have won. It's insane that 48% of America is unphased by 230k pandemic deaths.
