Agree on that. Likely won't make it past year 1 of the Presidency but his character has never been in question with me.
"Going hard left" was never in the cards with somebody like Joe, and I would add it's unfortunate in certain areas (because "going hard left" has different definitions depending who it's coming from)
I would also note that votes for Trump are not necessarily votes for "Republican values", that's a misconception. The debt, the deficits, shrinking government, all those "Republican values" only come up when the President has a (D) next to their name.
Do you really think somebody like Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio can run on "Republican values" and get as many votes as this guy did?
Trump was a populist that kept telling people what they wanted to hear, and didn't have to bring himself down to any conservative litmus test. You can pull that off when you're relatively unknown, but eventually that gig is up.
Agree on that. Likely won't make it past year 1 of the Presidency but his character has never been in question with me.
Agree that he did start out as a populist , but I am mainly referring to this election when he pulled in another 8-9 million rural type voters from the backwoods...those guys with deep conservative values that get made fun of on CNN and on this forum.
I don't think Rubio or Cruz would garner the same support because neither are cult of personality type figures who had a hit TV show prior to running for office.
It works both ways many did not likely vote for him due to personality alone.
If you were a fan of the Apprentice, you may be inclined to think his behavior is just a shtick. So it becomes excusable. I mean how else could a guy who said he prefers troops who don't get captured over war hero McCain and actually win the primary and the POTUS in 2016. One of the most remarkable things we've ever seen in politics. Nothing ever stuck to him until COVID hit our shores and real people started dying.
People who have become loyal followers don’t believe his personality is a shtick so it’s excusable. They think his personality is truly who he is and they agree with him. 70+ million agree with him and want that green light to act the same way. They want a reason to be that hateful. That’s what’s crazy. That’s what’s scary.
If you were a fan of the Apprentice you're a low IQ bag. That show was designed to cater to uneducated white trash that could watch it and then claim to "KNOW BUSINESS!"
Dude I was out there in DC all afternoon yesterday, it was like one giant frat party. Haven’t been this hungover in years.
I liked the part where he said it was time for libs to heal their wounds
Also liked it when Kamala said from this point forward little girls can grow up knowing it is possible to ride a mans coattails all the way to the top
Glad he won. Doesn't mean I won't take targets of opportunity here though![]()
trumper status confirmed for you. Racism, sexism all the way you frightened little man
I agree with most of this... but remember he also pulled in another bunch of millions of urban folks to vote against him, and when that happens, the path to victory becomes much more complicated. That's why he started pandering towards minorities in the end.
Blacks were bought the second Biden chose a running mate with black DNA.
I still have hope in blacks eventually standing up for themselves but at the moment they are groupthink. Too ignorant to realize they are the biggest losers of immigration to America. Maybe BLM makes a stand against this though.
I keep hearing this, and I think it's a terrible read. The George Floyd murder was probably way, way more important in pushing african americans towards Biden.
That could very well be. We will see how Biden reacts to the inevitable Cop shooting. I don't think they will accept "This is an outrageous. This must change." On the other hand defunding is a road to 2022 blowout.
lol so cucked
Joe and Kamala are both pro-police, I don't think that's gonna happen.
Joe is but Kamala was the most left Senator in some ratings and just because she was a prosecutor does not mean she will support police but at end of day Biden is the leader.
Yeah, no. She worked with the police as prosecutor and if there's one thing conserva s reminded us, is that she was a cutthroat prosecutor, especially with minorities.
Plus, when you have Warren next to you, you're never the most left Senator.
this is satire, right?
You're taking Trump's loss pretty hard.
They only understand one language: Moron. They're fluent in that.
