It would also cost many millions of dollars and more importantly it wouldn't convince the people who believe there is widespread fraud (on the basis of no evidence) that the election is legit. And of course republicans would never accept this if they had won and a democrat wanted it.

I think the problem most people have with it is the fact that it would occur without probable cause. Nobody has brought up a shred of evidence. We have had elections in this country for over 200 years, and never before has fraud been alleged on this scale.
