Gives you another two years to have a woman to criticize for something you won't criticize men for. Rejoice
ahh...the old misogyny claim. How predictable. RG just can't help himself.

I call it like I see it.

You tend to level your worst criticisms at women, and that is something mirrored in a lot of conservative rhetoric.

Tell me again what your opinion is of AOC's overall intelligence, and I can rest my case on that.

    (edit)

I can also readily point out the general level of women in any elected office in the Republican party. You can fool yourselves about "i'm not that way" but when it comes down to brass tacks, the symptoms demonstrate the underlying disease to a level of evidence that I am content holding it as truth. Conservatives tend towards some level of misogyny. Want to prove me wrong? Vote for more women candidates.

Republicans are all abuzz over their record levels of women getting elected in 2020.

24 in the House and eight in the Senate
    so... roughly 10%

That is a big deal for them.

I am pretty sure that is simply an outgrowth of that general undertone of mysogyny. It may not be always overt, but the preference of Republicans is pretty clear.

Will Hunting LOL AOC and the little squad acting like complete sheeps.

I was banking on them and the newly minted progressives who got elected to at least put up a fight like last time. They just got steamrolled and thanked Pelosi after.
    AOC causes too much infighting

    AOC is too easy-going

I have never said AOC is stupid. She isn't brilliant but she isn't stupid. I do disagree strongly with her politics, and she IS capable of saying stupid when she goes off script. And I do vote for women. As an example, I voted for Ivy Taylor for mayor instead of Nirinberg and she is black and female.

Call me crazy, but having a California elitist who’s worth $120 million as the face of Democrats in Congress might be contributing to the messaging issue. I know it makes a lot more sense to blame a saying that’s <1 year old for a messaging problem Democrats have had for decades, but it could be that voters in middle America don’t see how Nancy Pelosi is someone they feel inclined to empower with down ballot Dem votes.
    This!

“Vote for more women candidates and I won’t call ‘most’ conservatives misogynistic anymore”

We just voted in more Republican women then any other time in history. How much more do conservatives have to do to please you?

A bit more than 10% of their reps in congress, given that women are 51% of the population.

    More.

Goalposts haven't changed. I just don't see really doing more than a sarcastic slow clap at going from what? 5% to 10% of elected Republicans.

Get to something approaching 50% and then yeah. By that metric the Dems are still not even there, and could do better.

Like I previously said, when Democrats wonder why Missouri has gone from a purple state to a solid red state in the last 20 years, a coastal oligarch with a bad face lift being the one speaking on behalf of the Democratic Party certainly didn’t help.

But that’s the definition....just because it doesn’t meet your standards doesn’t mean it’s not progress. I don’t disagree with you either, I just know that it takes time to make progress.

I do however still disagree with you or anyone else that paints with a broad brush calling conservative misogynistic or racist or any other term. One size doesn’t fit all on either side of the aisle.

Except Boutons, his whole family are a bunch of re s.

Bold of CC to go on the record on not calling a woman a or a here when 99.9% of posters have at some point or another called a female member of congress that word before.

Not triggered, just remember it quite clearly, and it took a minute to do the search.

When she got elected, the conservative elites had to have a narrative to put her in the box that was easy for people like you to grasp, in order to neutralize her political message and power.

They settled on the "AOC is dumb and young" narrative, helped along by the fact she is a female.

The right wing propaganda machine played into that unconscious bias of yours with endless distorted half-truths and saturated the media markets with it.

    It stuck.

You bought it, without thinking. Because the narrative was something you are ready to believe, so you bought it, without really looking for yourself.

Despite the fact that she has a college degree in economics, and was smart enough to win an election against a deeply entrenched in bent.

Conservatives, especially older ones, are products of their upbringing. "Women aren't as smart as men are, and should be housewives" This overall perception was changing in 1970, but still widespread. Women still couldn't get credit cards in their own names at that time.

Search your own thoughts. I am more right than you would likely admit, even to yourself.
