they need to make a valid case in a court of law. nothing credible has been presented to do that.

The alts are tied to his personal delusions. He has always thought everyone is Blake, Reck or Chump so he surrounds himself with alts to create a similar(in his own mind) group fight back with. Certainly but I'm more and more thinking that Trump still thought he could maybe, somehow overturn the result and at least give it a shot, with the same schtick he's used and worked his whole life.
They thought they could replicate 2016 by winning the opinion and bully their way into overturning the election with the help of a few rep judges and governors. The more they were losing in court, the more they were intensifying their PR and bullying (Powell's Kraken, big hearings).
But it's indeed not about convinving PEOPLE and fake news this time, but facts and real court, with people who have a bit more conscience or simply didn't want to risk their job or go in jail for him.
Crazy and unreal anyway.
