mercy abounds for the rich and well-connected...
Sasse could have done something to try to prevent this...

Did he pardon a token black yet tbh?
not surprised, but damn
The Repug mafiya will probably primary him with $Ms for his opponent
Good riddance, tbh.
the magnanimity of a gangster
Back in August, Alice Johnson.
Isn't that enough, you ingrate?
Here's an honorable sort of "pardon"
https://abcnews.go.com/US/man-spent-...ry?id=65264675A man in Alabama just had his sentence changed so that he’ll be getting out of prison in the next few days.
His crime: Stealing $50.75 from a bakery 36 years ago.
Alvin Kennard was 22 years old when he was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole back in 1984. Alabama state law at the time mandated that since it was his fourth offense, the judge had no other option than to sentence him to life in prison.
Not just the most corrupt president but one of the most corrupt people ever in Washington. And he has just begun to pardon people. He’s already made it clear his family and himself will be getting pardons if he feels like it.
And Pootin's message:
"Dear World, behold how ty and corrupt your adored Capitalist America has become, electing my personal puppet, a fraud, traitor, misogynist, grifter, thief, liar, not Christian, supported the Repug party, and corrupt SCOTUS, with 74M so-called Americans voting to re-elect him.
America's time is past, its decline is unstoppable and permanent.
The 21st century belongs to China and Russia."
Little Ben Sasse, Romney, Collins, etc. always seem to limit their opposition of Trump to some combination of sternly worded, after-the-fact statements.
Ultimately, Republicans want their tax cuts, corporate welfare and deregulation above all else, and they were perfectly fine with using Trump as their vehicle for all of it no matter how much he parlayed the White House for his own personal gain. Nothing they say now changes that.
And judges. Sasse and Romney voted for ACB despite the fact ballots had already been cast in the Presidential and it was the 2nd stole seat in 4 years.
their "moderates".
a lesser known person:
https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile...ut-last-night/Mary Ballard McCarty
Former Palm Beach County commissioner Mary McCarty’s corruption crime is not in dispute. She resigned shortly before pleading guilty to honest services fraud in 2009.
Born Mary Ballard, she is the sister of Brian Ballard, a top fundraiser for the outgoing president who has been described as the “Most Influential Lobbyist in Trump’s Washington.”
Ms. McCarty’s brother attained that le, in part, by being one of Trump’s most effective financial backers. On top of his personal six-figure donations to the president and his committees, Ballard bundled millions more through Trump Victory, a joint political action committee.
The White House notes that a Ballard lobbyist asked for McCarty’s pardon, though it does not disclose that affiliation outright.
“Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and Christopher Ruddy are among those supportive of Ms. McCarty,” the release states.
Well yeah. When I say “corporate welfare” and “deregulation” that includes them wanting judges nominated who will deregulate from the bench in case congress isn’t able to.
... it was William Barr who got Pappy to pardon Iran-Contra criminals, which very probably included Pappy himself.
antifa/BLM-murderer / Repug hero Rittenhouse to be pardoned?
Not federal charges.
the worst president in US history by far. I cannot understand how can republicans agree with those pardons; that shows how crooked they are. Perfect enemies of democracy.
Trump is admired for his brazen contempt for the law, norms and the governed. He's a caudillo.
10Ms, some not Repug, not even conservative, mostly losers, voted for Trash to blow up, insult democracy, the law, the elite with brazen, blatant lies, and above all, hurt all people who were not Male Christian Euro-Whites
Ms more voted for Trash to make them much more wealthy, to not raise taxes, and that voting paid off in $Ts.
Morality, ethics, the law, the Cons ution, America, other Americans? they don't give the tiniest .
The Repug party, 100+ in the House, 17 State AGs, went along with Trash to annul the election and remain in authoritarian power.
America is so ed and un able.
UN experts declare Trump violated international law with his pardons
Donald Trump, international war criminal.
The description seems so apt that it just rolls right off the tongue.
And while many may have described the deposed president thusly in the privacy of their minds or publicly on social media, now,
U.N. human rights experts are making that accusation as well
due to Trump’s pardon last week of four murderers of Iraqi civilians employed by Blackwater, the mercenary-for-hire company run by the brother of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Eric Prince.
“Pardoning the Blackwater contractors is an affront to justice and to the victims of the Nisour Square massacre and their families,” said Aparac in a statement issued today.
“These pardons violate U.S. obligations under international law and
more broadly undermine humanitarian law and human rights at a global level,”
Under the United States’ obligations to the Geneva Convention, war criminals must be held accountable for their criminal actions, even if they are mercenary contractors rather than regular military personnel.

Would be fantastic if the international community put out an Interpol wanted person hit on Trash, so he couldn't leave the USA for fear of begin arrested.
Trump loves crooked cops who abuse people for sport.
https://www.lawyersgunsmoneyblog.com...ute-to-fascismIn the middle of the night on Sept. 21, 1995, a local Prince George’s County police burglary stakeout unit found two homeless men on the empty roof of a business, eating food they had found in the trash in Takoma Park, Md. Ordered down from the roof, Ricardo Mendez and his friend willingly climbed down. Lit by a police helicopter above and facing a brick wall, the two men were surrounded by police officers, some with guns drawn, and Mohr holding her German shepherd on a leash. Both men obeyed commands and stood facing the wall with their hands up.
It should have been over. It wasn’t.
A police sergeant later testified that he was approached by Mohr’s supervising officer who said, “Hey Sarge, we got a new dog. Mind if it gets a bite?” The sergeant gave consent, and Mohr set her dog to attack Mendez, an undo ented immigrant whose only crime was seeking a safe place to eat and sleep. Mohr testified that she was doing her job as trained, and the victim needed “only 10 s ches.”
Think about that: only 10 s ches. Mohr disregarded her training to give her dog a taste of flesh and blood.
This was no accident or split-second mistake. It was a willful and deliberate act of police brutality. It was also not Mohr’s first — and there was a pattern to the violence. Evidence at trial showed that Mohr had previously released her dog on a Black teenager sleeping in a hammock in his own backyard. She had threatened the relatives of a fugitive that she would let her dog attack their “black ass” if they did not tell her where he was. There were other incidents that the jury did not even learn about, including one in which Mohr put her dog into a trash dumpster to attack a man who had fled from police
