    I'm pretty sure Phil Scott would keep his word on replacing Sanders with another left leaning independent...he wants to run for Leahy's seat in 2022 since Leahy is probably retiring and VT voters would view him as Judas if he wrecked a Dem senate majority.

    Still would definitely not take the chance though.

    ah, full audio is in the wapo article apparently. havent been able to bypass the paywall with incognito mode last few days though

    IMO his theory is that if he can get results changed in 1 state it creates a snowball effect that justifies GOP controlled state legislatures to pick new electors (that theory might actually be right, I think if the Wisconsin supreme court ruled differently it might have created a lot of chaos). He has the most leverage for GA to be the state that sets things in motion - not a coincidence he's picking on the state that needs him to inspire turnout for senate control.

    I also think he wants to rat Loeffler/Perdue to prove a point that the GOP needs his cult to survive.
