nbadraft.net has him in the 2nd I think. Their mock looks pretty bad and/or totally not updated. I think they hide their previous years' mocks, too, not exactly showing a lot of stock in their own abilities.
I don't see him falling that far at all. He could easily go in the first ten and if he drops out of the lottery someone will scoop him up.

sengun will not drop to the 2nd round and likely not even out of the lottery. and i'd be pretty content if he was there at 12 and the spurs took him.
I think Moody might drop. Seems his stock is slowly dropping because others are rising like Bouknight, Barnes, Sengun, Wagner etc…
He is not very athletic nor does he look like a great shot creator at all. He looks like an Arica-type player. Wonder if Spurs nab him like how Vassell dropped but this years draft class so they could pass on him for someone with higher upside.
Has anyone heard any updates on Jared Butler and his heart condition? I noticed Chinook mentioned him in the FA thread and I had put him outta mind after the diagnosis.
A little something for everybody it would seem...
LOL, Klutch. LeBron is trying to steer all those players to the Lakers right now. ESPN is helping.
Except, that’s completely impossible, since almost all of them are lottery picks. By the time their rookie deals are over, LeBron will be retired, and detached from the Lakers, and their doings. Klutch is a good retirement nest egg for LeBron, nothing more, especially at this juncture of his career.
LeBron at 36-37 years old is trying to steer a group of rookies to LA to help them compete for a championship?
Half of these guys are trying to get first round locks. 2 of the other 3 may be trying to stay in the league at the end of their rookie contracts, (And yes, I'm acknowledging that Kai may be one of those suggested 2).
Think Moody will be a solid rotation guy at worst.
Goddamn it it's a ing joke. Five players on the Lakers right now are Klutch players. It's a joke of an agency run by his boy. Jesus Christ.
I should be clear, I mean they have a statistical model, not just basketball statistics from games. It is my understanding that things like age, height (and other physical parameters) go into it, as well as basketball stats. I believe they have adjustment factors for basketball stats from outside the NCAA(M). It is the output of this statistical model that is the big board.

I'm not discounting the fact that they COULD have a statistical model as developed as you describe here. But the site offers no explanation or background to their "statistical method" (if even that is being used) that it's incorrect to assume that they do. I don't see the reason why to believe these things and put faith into something you can't see.
Was just thinking about Pop and how he's away from Spurs HQ right now and wonder about how involved he is with the scouting process for these prospects? When people say Pop chooses his players and he has full control over who they draft, who they sign, etc., it doesn't seem like it's possible for him to be that involved right now with the draft two weeks away... Is he doing Zoom meetings with the scouting department and with draft prospects? Is he watching tape on these prospects while he's working with Team USA? I very much doubt it... Either the Spurs have already made up their mind awhile ago on who they're picking or it was never really Pop's responsibility to begin with and he leaves it up to the Spurs' scouting team to choose these players.
NBADraft.net's mock (updated July 6) has Sengun at #32 (2d pick, 2d Round) -- an outlier, no doubt.
The site's previous years' mocks are on the site -- just click on the year "2021" on this year's mock and a drop down menu appears.

Seems unlikely he is not the decider in the past. But I could see him abdicate his responsibilities for this draft due to National team commitments.
That would be a cool formula to see. Do you know who the people behind Tankathon are? Is it still just the one guy? This article is a few years old: https://www.slamonline.com/nba/tanking-nba/
Nope, got nothing more. Sorry.
just uploaded
This would be phenomenal, obviously.
That gives us 2 of Wagner, Bouknight, Sengun, Duarte, Moody, Giddey, Garuba or another player plus Wiseman. That could be a dream scenario for a rebuild.
What do the Brits say? It’s the hope that kills you.
Trading to Golden State is this year's trading Aldridge for Wiseman.
Do they have cap space to get DeRozan?
Golden State is way too smart and aware of analytics to have any interest in DeRozan. Complete pipe dream.
