100% they want Afghan's minerals, plus the rise in opioid production will help to hurt the west even more. Their fentanyl could only do so much.
Other than selling them weapons, why would anybody want to be there, tbh? And you don't need to be there to have a solid arms trade.
Next up is cutting diplomatic relationships with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, tbh... the US really needs to get the away from that whole region and let them figure it own on their own.

Not equivalent at all. USA was invading foreign land thousans of miles away from the homeland. China can easily control their own provinces.
FTR I’m not convinced the CCP succeeds in Afghanistan or anything. The country has been a graveyard for every other imperialistic power that tries to control it, and any allegiance between the CCP and Taliban would be a fragile ticking time bomb.

Ive gotta hand it to the Taliban. A group of 75k ill-equipped camel riding guerillas managed to fight off the USSR 40 years ago and just won a 20 year war of attrition with the US.

We should be getting Americans and Afghan allies out of the country at all costs even if it requires a troop surge.
There is no more space for soldiers at the airport. So that option is impossible.
We can only hope Taliban Allow us the.week or so that it will take to evacuate everyone. Prayingdog.gif
