Biden administration approves largest increase to food assistance benefits in program history

The changes will increase average benefits for food stamps in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program by more than 25%.

This permanent increase in the levels of assistance is the largest single increase in the program’s history.

Average monthly per-person benefits will rise from $121 to $157.

121 x 42000000 = $5.082B / month = $60B / year but I that it's actually $80B/year

avg $36 more/month x 42,000,000 = $1.512B more per month = +$18B / year more

CARES Act gave wealth landlords an $78B tax break for "paper losses" retroactively into 2019

obviously, all the SNAP money will be spent by recipients so that's $20B stimulus,

USA should save more than that after leaving Afghanistan

Im just surprised some here dont see that this situation is a time bomb. We.have hundreds or.thousands.of afghan civilians sti trying to enter the airport. The taliban perimeter is crappy and its the only thing standing between the mass and the americans.

If afghans somehow bum rush, there will be hundreds 9f casualties. And if some get to americans it would be blood bath
