...thank Christ. It's been a Godsend.
Unpopular and stupid. The idea that we don’t need police never made any sense.

Obviously a whopping, 43% person of the city population thought they did. Roughly the same % of people in the state of Illinois who reliably vote Republican, despite the 15-2 gerrymander proposal.
14-3. Some Illinois Dems proposed a 15-2 map but it would have been a massive dummymander.
The 43% number is much higher than I thought but it's a low turnout off cycle election. In a midterm or general election I think that number is lower.
Both sides gerrymandering hard to make their states more hard left or hard right in terms of congressional seats than the percentages of voters in their respective states would indicate.
I don't think the Republicans are going to win by as a big of a landslide in the house next year as most people originally thought; and like you've said, the Democrats may get it back in 2026 if they have enough swing seats in California/New York/Illinois to offset the solid R seats the R's are working actively to create in the new maps across the red and the majority of the purple states.
At this rate I think the GOP is gonna pick up 20+ seats. So far the Dems have repeated every mistake from 2009 and 2010 and I don’t see it getting any better. Biden should have taken a much more proactive role in getting BBB through congress, instead he’s just sat back and watched the party fight with itself the same way Obama did with the ACA.
We can't call antifa for help is our house is being robbed??
He has had like 20 meetings with Manchin and Sinema but they are obtuse as . Sinema saying this Biden is not the one who ran as a moderate...meanwhile most of this was on his campaign website
I've seen deranged leftists on Twitter unironically claim that we can rely on street gangs (yes, like the bloods and the crips) to maintain order in lieu of police![]()
I think Biden ed up by reneging on his pledge to veto the Rob Portman infrastructure plan if it wasn't passed jointly with BBB. Once he backpedaled on that and basically said he'll pass whatever congress sends him first I think it emboldened Manchin/Sinema into thinking they could bully him.
Sinema is just acting in bad faith. Manchin is acting out of self-interest and he's also just a bumbling idiot who's obsessed with 1990s era ideas about "work requirements" and "means testing." At one point he demanded that paid family leave have a work requirement
The party committees should create a new policy that they won't support any candidate who takes money from No Labels PAC and/or doesn't support obvious like giving Medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices.
