Oh, Thanks for the clarification. Yeah that would eat into Woj’s Twitter time/character limit without Q.
3 Trades in one year for Spurs (or is it more?) and they may not be done. This GM thing is going to Brian’s head![]()
Didn’t satoransky arrive alone from Portland? We got no other players out of the deal…

Utah won't have Bird rights. I think max they could offer him would be taxpayer's MLE, which is half of what he makes right now.
This was the fourth or fifth if you count Chriss
They weren’t going to pay him that anyway. There was talk of not re-signing him.
At his best, Satoransky was a third guard. This season, for whatever reason(s) he's been a replacement player.
He's not only not a White replacement, but likely to never play a game as a Spur. If not re-routed, expect a buyout.
So basically, my BOS scenario would only play out at this coming up draft at this point assuming spurs dont buy out both Thad and Tomas.
No. Once the Finals end, ending contracts are over, not tradeable.
Morant, Durant, and Aldridge look like the only 3 that panned out to HOF material
What’s the next move, Wright!!!!
We’ll find out in the next 21 hours.
Wouldn’t shock me if we were the 5th mystery team in the Simmons/Harden trade, and Thad was part of it. The crap offers leaked may only be the fallback position.
So can we agree signing Bryn was a good move?
I think you're right. I saw an article earlier that said indy expects to move Rubio ($17M) for value and if that's the case I'd think Thad (similar but slightly smaller contract) should be worth more since he can actually still play and defends Giannis reasonably well.
There’s a reason he’s been on ice (three games played in a month).
A team that can throw in a useful bench piece on an expiring into a big deal can really help balance the numbers out. The more money that goes into the deal, the easier it is to make numbers match because everything is a multiple of the 125% of outgoing.
I can dream, but my ideal outcome would be upgrading some of the other less than perfect pieces along with Young for someone who’s a better long term fit. Walker and White are at the top of that list. But that’s probably too much to ask for.
A couple random thoughts:
I think there's a dark horse kind of chance that a team like okc who's 23M below the floor and sitting on 3 1st's this year might make an offer for White to put next to SGA.
Portland now has an insane amount of cap space this summer and they say they are going to build around Dame but, with what? This is a poor FA class and they don't have a ton of assets so how do they build around him? (I still think they move him too this summer but who knows).
The Thuder have already paired Giddey with Gilgeous-Alexander and will surely have numerous chances at other projected high ceiling guards going forward.
The Trail Blazers are committed to pairing Simons with Lillard. Granted, a bigger, quality defender alongside either would make sense.
Just by signing him we were able to acquire two second round picks. Aren't those good chess moves for a rebuilding team? You can't let dislike for a player interfere with your ability to collect assets.
yes, I agree that the way they resolved this "situation" was better than I expected, I just don't agree with the signature under any cir stances.
Pretty sure they signed him just because he had trade value. Lot's of teams need a bench guy that can come in and hit a quick three.
The Spurs tend to send there sought after assets Eastbound (for fear of reprisal I would assume.)
Imagine they sent White to New York. He could have this "Lin-Sanity" type effect there, the media comes out with these crazy memes and nicknames, maybe something like "White-Washing"...uh, hang on, I better re-think that...![]()
Well one thing we can all agree on is there no way that Harrison Barnes is getting traded. The Kings said so themselves.
Yup, and like I said it's just a darkhorse kind of thing but with Giddey's size I think he, SGA, and White could all play together.
On the Blazer front, I just don't see Dame being excited if the plan is to pair him with Simons instead on CJ and saving money for the club.
I'm sure there are other options for White and it'll cone down to what we want...we may want a specific player but okc can give us draft capital without sending any salary back and we could open as much as $55M in space this summer if we did that.
Of course there's nothing on the FA market that really excites me so...
