As of March 31st it looks like I’ll be out of a job. They just downsized all patrol hubs in Donetsk and Luhansk to 30 international mission members each (from around 150). Georgians just ordered westward as well. Too much of a logistical nightmare to keep all those MMs in our western teams with limited resources and accommodation.

would you have us send in the cavalry?
The Minsk Agreements are not only violated, they are irreversibly torn up now that Russia “publicly” has troops in Eastern Ukraine (we all knew they were there before, but this brazen move is a throw-down to the West).

Yes, NATO boots on the ground in Ukraine because Russia has boots on the ground in Ukraine. Suggesting otherwise is nothing else but a concession to Putin. Whomever fires the first shot is another matter, but a show of force must be met with a show of force now that diplomacy has failed spectacularly.

If not now, when? What’s your strategy besides have Putin dictate the pace every step of the way?

Of course we with NATO are (Eastern Europe).
    Its the cost.
We are not willing to bear the burden, neither is Russia. Right now anyway.
What you are suggesting will be a WW which you crave so badly.
Peace out hater now suggesting new wild scenarios.
Sorry but US/NATO is a paper tiger.

Its designed and constructed to fight miserable 3rd world holes. We have a great air force that unleashes on sandal wearing armies. Then our boots basically stroll through territory.

    That ship has sailed.

We still have a far superior air force but cannot operate at will anymore. Russian air defenses are good enough to down more than a few of our jets. We would never unleash on the ground for our boots to stroll around.

We also cannot lay a finger on Russian territory as that would mean a nuclear warhead up the ass. Putin has said if one inch of Russia is attacked its nuclear war.

US and NATO armies have to be redesigned and reconstructed to have a chance in .

You read a lot of Donbas news I take it…
Nope its easy to look up Minsk agreement:

    1. An immediate and comprehensive ceasefire.

    2. Withdrawal of all heavy weapons by both sides.

    3. Monitoring and verification by the OSCE.

    4. To start a dialogue on interim self-government for the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, in accordance with Ukrainian law, and acknowledge their special status by a resolution of parliament.

    5. A pardon and amnesty for people involved in the fighting.

    6. An exchange of hostages and prisoners.

    6. Provision of humanitarian assistance.

    7. Resumption of socio-economic ties, including pensions.

    8. Restore full control of the state border by the government of Ukraine.

    9. Withdrawal of all foreign armed formations, military equipment and mercenaries.

    10. Cons utional reform in Ukraine including decentralisation, with specific mention of Donetsk and Luhansk.

    11. Elections in Donetsk and Luhansk on terms to be agreed with their representatives.

    12. Intensify the work of a Trilateral Contact Group including representatives of Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE.

Ukraine was absolutely not following at least 1, 2, 4, 9, 10, 11. There was zero dialogue with the separatist republics, still huge inflow of weapons and mercs. Thats the opposite of dialogue.

Thats why we are where we are

We are here because Putin has taken a risk reward gamble based on his hard on for the Soviet Union to come back.
He is more than willing to risk the Russian people's standard of life vs. the US and the rest of the world its hit to the stock market via petroleum and sanctions.
China has already stated this is a clear violation of a sovereign nation's rights because they just became a bit poorer as well.

They dont know the meaning of courage. Clinton,,,Barry,,,Biden,,,,all non military members. They even elect democrat candidates like Hillary that never served. Cowards stick together,,,,
