So you are now blaming it on Lebron?
The more I thought about it, the more I lay the blame on Kobe. Why would he bring a bunch of kids, including his own beloved daugther, on a copter under such situations? He should have exhibited better judgment in a situation like that and because of the lack in judgment, 9 lives were lost.
So you are now blaming it on Lebron?
heard the Luol Deng era came to an end this season, god bless
he was the 5th highest paid Laker this season
Los Angeles Knicks
wow, didnt know deng was still getting paid. Last played for lakers in 2017. Hope he got his bubble ring.At least now they have free money to pay Russ.
I don’t recall anyone anywhere except Jalen Rose who was college buddies with Pelinka, praising Rob, Linda, Kurt or Jeannie/Vogel for the le two years ago. It was Bron leadership in a tragic season and teaching AD how to win and making Caruso better. That got all the credit. It doesn’t flip now we suck. KLUTCH is why we dished all our assets for Davis and chose THT over Caruso and overpaid him too.
In the end we hit 17 so it’s worth it but I’m not gonna scapegoat Vogel or Pelinka for following the KLUTCH path that starts with overpaying KCP twice
Not that I disagree, just find it amusing that you have no problems talking about the fall of the lakers as Lebrons fault for his lack of leadership but wouldn’t admit years of irrelevance since 2012 was due to Kobe until Lebron came to the rescue.
The lakers don’t have a strong management team and their entire strategy is to star build which leads to stars having overwhelming power over the franchise. Riley told Lebron to piss off with the heat and it’s something that eventually hurt both sides. It was a stupid move in a way but he was forced his hand and it was either that or bend over backwards for Lebron.
We cater to stars so when we have them in their primes it works as they age it sucks.
I do find it funny when people say we have poor team management but yet we are the most successful franchise.
Yes we bottom out after our le runs but our strategy works. We are star ers through and through. I like when we had Kobe or Eddie Jones before dat but Most of Lakernation is spoiled and en led and don’t have the patience to watch young guys develop
Location location location. Wilt, Kareem, shaq, Lebron, Kobe, Davis all forced their way to LA because of location. It has nothing to do with management.
Sure they were willing but we had to make trades nice contracts etc even to accommodate Shaq and Bron who were free agents. To get Bron they sucked up to Rich Paul the year before overpaying KCP and talking up the signing by quoting scripture it was a shameless charade and obvious attempt to gain favor with KLUTCH. Kobe was a Jerry West steal. West sold Shaq on Lakers etc. They also had to draft sign and trade for complementary pieces. Are they as well run as the Spurs? No obviously, But the lakers have won 6 les to the Spurs 5 since Tim was drafted …it’s not just the stars … but they are the biggest piece of the puzzle. My point is all those stars came and left and we still won. Duncan and pop are there for all 5 of yours you have great culture management and stability. We have a media circus and dysfunction but yet won les with two different coaches with plenty others in between during the same era …three different decision makers our owner died we still won a le just two years ago.
And it’s because of the location and free agents. Teams like the spurs had to build from scratch and hope the superstar they found/developed would stick around. When you get a guy like nephew it sets the team back decades. Whereas the lakers have enormous room for error. Bad signing with nash and Howard? I will just throw more money at it. Ingram and Russell not developing (or th e lakers don’t want to spend time developing you GM talent)? I will just force a trade by using the media to apply pressure.
Shaq didn’t have to sold. He was going to Hollywood all along. It was an open secret to a degree that the league had to step in and investigate for tampering to feign fairness when the league wanted that signing all along. Lebron to lakers was another example. At that point the lakers were the laughing stock of the league. NO WAY Lebron or any self respecting free agent superstar would sign with that team if not for the association with Hollywood.
The media would routinely root for and come up with trades for the lakers then grill unwilling trade partners and apply pressure. It’s almost comical.
16*#* no one counts the pixie tournament as legit chip
...and then what happened with your Spurs?![]()
If that chip doesn't count, then neither do these:
Celtics 11 "Jim Crow Era" les
Spurs 1999* " le"
*2020 World Champion Lakers played more than 50 games.![]()
![]()
Nick Nurse is currently getting his teeth kicked in. Lakers need a coach. Nick Nurse might be available in a few days.
Nick Nurse is with Klutch. Will continue to monitor this situation.
![]()
We have four picks in this draft. The Lakers...![]()
Spurs getting the 38th pick courtesy of your Lakers
Thanks!![]()
Not the Celtics fault no other team wanted to be black like them. You wanna talk Jim Crow les though...
![]()
Fine. Take away our 6 Jim Crow chips. Then take away their 11. Boiled down:
Lakers - 11
Celtics - 6
Showtime, Shaq/Kobe and Bron accounted for 11 modern era NBA chips (most in NBA history).
![]()
You said Jim Crow les. Celtics were the blackest team in the league, so can't take that from them.
Jim Crow *era* les sn
If Jim Crow Era les don't count then that should eliminate the Lakers 2020 le.
