That's a pretty incredible thing for a coach to say about his star player. I was wondering last year if Giannis had considered joining Dallas as a free agent and forming a Euro super team, but I suppose it's good for the rest of the league that he didn't.

I remember watching this in real time and thinking WTF? But of course there wasn’t a replay.
I remember watching this sequence and thinking the same thing. I remember Chris Paul feeling for his hamstring (you see it briefly in the clip) and I couldn’t help but wonder if anyone has injured themselves more on flopping than CP3…

Giannis has been very successful in Milwaukee. I honestly never thought he was leaving, and wasn’t surprised by him signing his extension.

I was shocked initially by Kidd statement too, but then I saw a clip of Luka himself saying after game 2 that he had to play better defense specifically, so I see it as a kind of challenge that the player already welcomes. No one can handle CP3 in the 4th Q and him getting biased foul calls has been the most disappointing thing this playoffs for me. The one thing I think coach Kidd can do, is scheme to put more burden on others earlier in the game, so that Luka is fresher for the 4th Q. With them playing at home, there is hope the others, Brunson included will be better.

I mention it every time I say the Suns look like the champions this year.. part of it is CP3 is getting a favorable whistle that no one else is getting, I mean on rip through moves, breaking Alvarado teeth, this one I clipped. Its too biased in his favor. At this point, only CP3 and his hamstring derail him.

He’s the kind of player you’d love to tell kids/students of the game to watch based on the pure basketball related plays.

The issue is though that seemingly every second game (or every single one when in Playoffs mode), he has this contemptuous/a-hole level code of conduct and you’d rather just show them old Ginobili footage instead.

I still thinks Suns are going to struggle against Milwaukee or Boston if either make it out of the East.

Why cant Luka make his team of low picks and undrafted players better and beat the best team in the nba?

    Bullock 25th
    Brunson - 33rd
    Dinwiddie - 38th
    Bertans - 42nd
    Powell - 45th
    Kleber - undrafted
    DFS - undrafted

Like i said before, Dallas has done nothing to make the team better the past 3 years and Cuban is re ed with thinking these bunch of role players are any good. His next mistake will be giving that midget Brunson a giant contract.
Doncic does hae to come to the next season in better shape, but, Dallas also better get rid of most of this roster, cause this aint gonna win them .
they literally have to give brunson a big contract at this point, because if he walks, the extra cap "space" means nothing since they are so far over the cap. they literally wouldnt be able to sign anyone else anyways.

nico is going to have to swing some major trades at this point. but tbh its not an impossible situation, bc the mavs were basically in the same boat in 03-04, but were able to turn lousy massive contracts into Jason Terry, Jerry Stackhouse, Erick Dampier, Keith Van Horn and Devin Harris. there are always teams out there looking for either specific talents (shooters, scoring guards), or expiring contracts. im confident he will be able to build a good enough roster in time.

the real question is whether they can find any more good value in the draft. that will be the difference between a ceiling during lukas tenure of getting 0-2 championships, or 3+

they need to sign and trade Brunson and package Hardaway in the trade or in another trade. Getting rid of Bertans will be almost impossible, so they are ed with that.

idk i think some team desperate for a shooting big will come calling for bertans. might not net much, but shooters always get overpaid and always draw attention from teams

Tim Hardaway JR and Dinwiddie are bad contracts but at least THJ’s is declining. Bertans contract is terrible though. Mavs will have a tough time adding talent around Luka next few years.

a solid big like Myles Turner or Capela would already be a huge help. All i know is that if i am them, I am not paying Brunson. There is no way id have that guy as the #2 guy on a serious team.

They are over the cap and in desperate need to improve the roster so there is no way they are letting him walk for nothing.

CP3 ain't getting injured that easily no more since he turned vegan. That's really the main secret to his recent success

Embiid so good. He changes Philly so much for the better. This game is really good. Glad to see Kyle Lowry back too.

Makes total sense for an athlete just from an inflammation standpoint alone not to mention nutrition. I didn't know cp3 went vegan. I'm seeing some game changing stuff going veggie, is next level for sure, heads up check it out

Luckily Harden showed up soon after. The minutes without him or Embiid were ugly, have to say.

This is why I couldn’t really judge Miami. They hadn’t really faced a good team in the playoffs b4 this.
