If this is a one-year vet min, no problem at all. He won't be signed until later this off-season because his salary exceeds the roster charge, but no change to overall cap room the Spurs have to work with.
His locker room fit should be great. He's a man of the world from what I remember of last year's thread, someone Pop will certainly get along with, along with being a hard worker. His on-court skillset is also useful, especially for a bench big.
I like the signing. There are enough young/project bigs for now.
