Worked in Sri Lanka.
Of course it was.
Worked in Sri Lanka.
You're literally describing the Jan 6 hearings that you've boasted about not watching.
Left: "It was a lift attempt! Who cares there's no way it could be done by that person, it was an attempt!"
This is pretty ironic, tbh... what 'facts' would those be?
You know what's a fact? There's people being tried and also already convicted for seditious conspiracy based on the Jan 6th insurrection.

We're only fortunate that DC has very strict gun laws around the capitol and we had a patriot killing a terrorist inside the Capitol, tbh...
Seditious conspiracy is a crime in various jurisdictions of conspiring against the authority or legitimacy of the state. As a form of sedition, it has been described as a serious but lesser counterpart to treason, targeting activities that undermine the state without directly attacking it.

a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government.
"he was overthrown in an army coup"
Not a coup attempt
Of course it is:
Eleven members of the Oath Keepers, including leader Stewart Rhodes, were charged with seditious conspiracy in January 2022 for planning to violently oppose the certification of the 2020 Electoral College results in the 2021 United States Capitol attack. By the following May three Oath Keeper members had pled guilty to the charges. In June 2022 five Proud Boys leaders, including their former chairman Enrique Tarrio, were similarly charged.

The seditious charge is for planning the attack. The attack itself carried additional charges, like obstruction of an official proceeding, which they also plead guilty to.
The fact that the attack was carried out by a minority of unprepared re s and that it wasn't successful doesn't make it any less of a coup.
Lmao a coup with no guns just Trump flagpoles.
Now do "attempt."
Oops, sorry, did I respond out of turn and create another![]()
"echo chamber"

using a dictionary to back up your claims of what happened
DMC getting destroyed per par
Meanings of words worthless now because "echo chamber".
Essentially, three parameters are used to judge whether an insurrection is a coup event:
1) Are the perpetrators agents of the state, such as military officials or rogue governmental officials? (no, not those who entered the capital building)
2) Is the target of the insurrection the chief executive of the government? (no, that was Donald Trump)
3) Do the plotters use illegal and uncons utional methods to seize executive power? (no again)
Again, DMC redasses his ignorance of current events. Only wants to play his little reindeer games because we are laughing at him.
Read a paper, dude.
The insurrection directly targeted the transfer of power of the executive by illegal and uncons utional means.
I will give you that how people define a coup is subject to ample debate by scholars.
You posted the opinion of Jonathan Powell and Clayton Thyne, and there's also other independent scholars and projects that have a different view (ie: link)
what do you call it when someone loses an election and then tries to remain in power past their term?
(there's a word for that. it's an autocoup.)

Coup traitors
for Merriam-Webster'sinsisters, it's a kind of coup d'etat.
whatever else one might say about it, it begins by setting a popular election aside.
Trump got his legal due process to challenge and lost 59 times. Exogenous suits also failed. To continue past that point is the MO of the tyrant who won't accept his duly certified by the 50 states loss.
If you want to say a vote duly certified by the 50 states and the US Congress has no value, now would be a good stand and speak your peace.
Sound off, deniers and nullifiers.
