The deal was inevitable. You were going to lose either way.
Your first question was answered about Delaware. Weiss was not the official to decide on whether charges are filed. 6 FBI and IRS agents witnessed Weiss say that and Shapley recorded the exchange in a contemporaneous email.
Under oath Garland assured Weiss he could bring charges outside of Deleware and there would be no interference. When Weiss reached out to the top federal prosecutors in California and Washington to bring charges he was rejected by both federal prosecutors. Weiss was also denied Special Counsel authority by main DOJ.
Why was DOJ running interference on the IRS investigation?

U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf said there was sufficient probable cause for two separate search warrants. IRS agents were denied both search warrants. U.S. Attorney Wolf also gave Hunter's legal team a head's up that investigators were trying to search his North Virginia storage unit.
Why was DOJ running interference on the IRS investigation?
Mostly from the reputable NYPost:
Per whistleblower Gary Shapley, Assistant US Attorney Lesley Wolf “told us there was more than enough probable cause for the physical search warrant” for Joe Biden’s guest house (where Hunter often stayed) in September 2020 — but Wolf refused to go for it, arguing it wasn’t worth the political price.
Another whistleblower says that information then-AG Bill Barr now says was sent to the Delaware office in June 2020 never made it to the IRS team.

Comrade dip TSA has zero idea how investigations work and will immediately take the word of ANYONE who is a trumper and sells propaganda...
The same DOJ machinations that helped trump avoid prosecutions are the same machinations that this "so-called" whistleblower is now crying about withOUT knowing how the decisions were made -
if the evidence was weighed (no different than it was weighed with trump team traitors btw) and was deemed too risky to win a conviction and STAND UP to appeal -
then the DOJ can decide to pass on the case or take another case that WILL STAND UP TO APPEALS...
(and Garland and Weiss BOTH ALREADY stated the facts - which are true - Weiss had proper clearance from the top and made correct LAWFUL decisions -but watch this whistleblowers story fall apart lol)
but i'm done trying to talk to that piece of re
let him see this "whistleblower" propaganda die another death and he will immediately jump on the next one
never even thankful that jared and his TWO BILLION haven't even been prosecuted at all and Jareds crimes are a hundred times worse than Hunter bidens tax issues- heck even trumps tax fraud was worse and never prosecuted -
and finally
everyone already forgot how trump had Mnuchin RUNNING INTERFERENCE for the IRS when Congress was rightfully fighting their subpoena of trumps tax returns and any possible tax fraud investigations were stymied -while Trump was openly ordering his minions to stifle investigations!
but but "Biden's DOJ!"

CA and WA USAs' declining to bring charges isn't necessarily running interference. They could've seen a losing case as clearly as anyone.
And I have no idea why the Trump DOJ was running interference for Hunter Biden if that, in fact, happened. You need to ask them.
The cases were slam dunks according to Shapley.
The interference in question came under Biden's DOJ. Why was Biden's DOJ running interference on the IRS investigation?
Shapley isn't a USA in those districts.
Shapley said Wolf told the team during a September 2020 meeting that “optics were a driving factor in the decision on whether to execute a search warrant. She said a lot of evidence in our investigation would be found in the guest house of former Vice President Biden, but said there is no way we will get that approved.”The interference in question came under Biden's DOJ. Why was Biden's DOJ running interference on the IRS investigation?

Why was Trump's DOJ running interference for Hunter Biden?
Shapley is an expert in his field. He knows the tax laws of every state. California and Washington were slam dunk felony charges.
Are you claiming this was interference by Wolf?
Why was Biden's DOJ running interference on the IRS investigation?
How many federal jury trials has he litigated?
How many federal felony jury trials of sons of sitting presidents?
Convictions are far from guaranteed. Infinite hung juries are more likely. USAs don't do that.
I'm using your rather loose definition of running interference. Why was Biden's DOJ running interference on the IRS investigation?
Why did Trump's DOJ run interference according to you?
To me, it's the usual reticence in these situations, regardless of party. Is it worth the trouble? They have repeatedly said no in both administrations.

And he dodges the Yam s' DOJ running interference for hunter biden question, par.
So if it was a slam dunk case, why was Shapley unable to provide the evidence to Yam s' DOJ prosecutors for conviction?
Conviction was guaranteed with the evidence he had.

When did Trump's DOJ say no to bringing felony charges?
Weiss was denied in California and Washington in 2021 and 2022. Weiss was denied Special Counsel status in 2022.
Is it worth the troubleThey worked on the case for over 5 years.
The crimes were committed in California and Washington. Those aren't Trump appointed USA's.
By whom?
How many federal jury trials has he litigated?
How many federal felony jury trials of sons of sitting presidents?
If you want to change your definition of running interference, please do so explicitly. Since you were ing about search warrants earlier, you are accusing the Trump DOJ of running interference as well in 2020. If you want to flip-flop on that, you need to make yourself clear. When did Trump's DOJ say no to bringing felony charges?
Weiss was denied in California and Washington in 2021 and 2022. Weiss was denied Special Counsel status in 2022.
Exactly. It wasn't worth it. Time was up. They weren't going to get a "better" result than the deal.Is it worth the troubleThey worked on the case for over 5 years.
I just noticed the thread le“addition”
The mental gymnastics you have to do to deny DOJ running interference are incredible.
Why did the Trump DOJ run interference according to you?
Sounds like ordinary prosecutorial discretion to me. DOJ got their win by getting Biden to plead guilty.
You are so ing stupid

Was the DC USA even confirmed when the request was made?
Trump didn't appoint AUSA Wolf.
You are so desperate you are searching for anything to discredit this.
Yes he was confirmed.
List is of USA appointed by Yam s, idiot, you know, when he could have prosecuted hunter with Shapley’s evidence.![]()
