They kind of suck lol - Im really hoping they are a playoff team this year because when they lose Bridges for nothing they are in trouble.
It was Rosarios not La Fogata!
Walton loved the Spurs. One time his partner, Ralph Lawler, got so sick of Walton gushing over the Spurs he lost it (jokingly) and said "Why don't you just head to the Spurs locker room after the game."
I remember La Fogata!
It was 100% La Fogata I'd hear him raving about when I'd watch Spurs-Clippers games on KTLA in the 00s.
Sorry, you're both wrong (or maybe we're all correct).
He may have mentioned La Fogata but I heard him mention Rosarios many times, repeatedly.
OKC gonna be handful sooner than later.
I'm not wrong. I really do remember La Fogata. Ate there many times.
Well, then Walton had more than one favorite Mexican kitchen in SA!
Both Fogata and Rosario’s have really good roasted salsa. For fresh salsa I always go to El Jarro.
Here's Walton's own quote from the article linked below:
BW:
I’m a huge Pop fan. He’s brilliant, he’s passionate, he’s humble, he’s caring. He’s all the things you could say about all the great ones. About Red Auerbach, about John Wooden, about Phil Jackson, about Chuck Daily, about Pat Riley. Gregg Popovich is right there in that class. It was such an honor for me, as a broadcaster, to be able to go in on a weekly basis and sit and learn from him. And like any great teacher the subject matter means nothing, it’s the fact that Gregg Popovich is speaking about something that’s important to him. I learned from him every day. While I’m busier than ever now, while I’m happier than ever now, I do miss my time in San Antonio. At Rosario’s.With that great weather, love that heat. Love the spirit and the soul of the Spurs. When you’re going through it, when you’re in the fight, you just have no idea how special it is. When you’re old and in the way, like I am, you think back and say “wow, how cool was that.” And you spend the whole rest of your life trying to duplicate that environment again. You have so many legends in that franchise. The continuity and the creativity and the expressiveness and the freedom, but always with the structure and the discipline which makes the team happen. It always just feels so good when you think about San Antonio and the Spurs and all the people involved.

Wesley has not improved at all…
hope it was just first game nerves and he gets it together …
I was amazed to find out La Fogata's salsa recipe was just onion, tomato, jalapeno, and salt. They published it one time in the Express News. I could just eat chips and salsa whenever I go there.
Barlow and Champagnie answering a lot of questions about their readiness for some good minutes this year with super showing of their skill sets. Highlights are available already and are great fun to watch.
If only. (Hope you're right but it doesn't look like nerves, looks maybe more like Lonnie.)
yeah
does not look like he will stick…
Welp, can’t unsee that lol
Ya that was the first place that made me like roasted salsa. They do it perfect and season it perfect no idea how.
El Jarro is my jam - love their fresh salsa and queso and Auturo Margs
Have not been to Rosarios or Fogata in a long time - both still good?
I don't even live in SA anymore, but when I've gone there, it seems La Fogata hasn't been that good for at least about ten years.
Gotta love ESPN and SportsCenter, their entire coverage of the game was focused on Miller and how he "went off in the 4th quarter"
Guy went 5/11 from the field with 7 fouls and 6 turnovers, and lost by 21....and Champagnie hung 30/8 on him but I know ESPN has their agenda to follow
Going to have to wait on a online posted replay to watch this game. Had to settle with full game highlights. Good first game showing albeit against a whack hornets sl team.
I just remember someone throwing a gorgeous pass to Samaki Walker and Walton saying, "Oh where would you LIKE it, Samaki?" That line has become a staple among my friends and family.
