I want to like this but feel like it'd make me a misogynistic asshole. So what I'm going do is cover myself by saying that, then like it nonetheless.

some of you guys are terribly deluded about these has been celebrities... Anything for a bit of exposition, with TMZ as their partners, presenting everything in a spectacular, emphatic way...Often even staging it.

What was she even doing in exactly the exact same place as the most scrutinized, observed, talked about guy in Vegas? this girl has been living out of stunts and scandals for 20 years. So yes, we hope she's OK, which she apparently is since she got back to her table, and nobody wants to see anyone hurt but I have to say that seeing all the Spears fanbois coming out the wood to defend their princess is kinda funny...

Incident involving Britney Spears, NBA's Victor Wembanyama prompts battery probe (yahoo.com)
    https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...ycsrp_catchall (https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...ycsrp_catchall)
Damian Smith, the Spurs' director of team securit
y, "instantly backhanded her, causing her to fall to the ground ... knocking her glasses off."

Smith did not know who she was, the site said.

Smith later apologized to Spears and she accepted, TMZ said, but police were called and the police report was filed. Officers who responded to the incident reportedly reviewed security camera footage that showed Smith pushing away Spears' hand and that it was her own hand that struck her face, not Smith's.

People can be dangerous sometimes, and security over does it, and of ALL people, she should know that. I'm sure her security has done like things to people who get too close or try to touch her.
It's still not a good look.

It doesn't matter because we both know that the Spurs are not going to use the "she had it coming" defense.

I truly apologize for making light of Britney's mental health issues. Starting to wonder if Spurs security for sure knew who she was before hand they might've done the exact same or even more severe just based on how publicly do ented her unstable state has been. It's unfortunately their job as security to identify loose cannons and shield their clients from risk and these things can escalate as in this case.

If she was a nobody and reached out the security would've still pushed her away only no one would be outraged or care about the random fans wellbeing.

I feel bad for joking or ridiculing Britney in this thread and maybe Dejounte is right. I'll acknowledge compassion for metal health awareness and obviously Britney is struggling right now. , no telling what it took to be a young female star in her day and that might leave some demons to deal with afterwards, let's face it. I'll take some pushback on this and will also disclaim like ex said, she has to own her choices and seek help if she needs it especially after arguing in court that she could control herself I think there is some expectation that she address this soon and that's fair to say, too.

I mean - this board isn’t the best representation of society. There is a bit of an incel vibe to this place.

People for the most part are good, don’t think mental illness is funny at all and believe they deserve respect.
Lol, some of you are hilarious tbh... Most members here are 40-50+ guys/girls from all around the world with families, kids and different types of jobs... That's probably the most educated sports forum online.

What about you and your 200 posts? Please tell us about your fantastic life as a snowflake going all societal and ideological about Britney freaking Spears because he can't take a bit of second degree about a notorious stunt C celebrity... Get that broom at of your ass.

Godamnit, life must be terribly boring with a couple of you guys here.

Also not ruling out that this is some TMZ manufactured buzz story with varying levels of pre-planning perhaps even from both camps.

Either way the NBA must be loving the energy on this Wembsanity hype.

Everybody is ed up in their head on this planet to some extend. That's just official for some...Get everyone to a shrink and you'll see we're living in a bizzare world...

Just not everyone is famous and brandish their more or less real health issues as a banner to drag sympathy or simply exist, since being ill, is at leat being something, like older guys proudly comparing their diseases... But this girl ain't more mentally ill than your neighbours and their brothers, I'm telling you.

the overreactions in this thread are hilarious. Britney grabbed Wemby, Spurs security pushed her hand away, as he did that she got slapped with her own hand and her glasses fell down. Britney didn't fall like an eyewitness reported on TMZ. Spurs security later apologized to her and said he didn't know who she was. No big deal. Now if the roles were reversed, Wemby touching Britney would be sexual harrassment.

It's not about "a good look". It's about keeping your client safe, and if you're famous, you need good security. Just consider Gianni Versace. He thought he could live like a normal, and he gets offed by some weirdo gay drifter.

The two notions are not mutually exclusive. The context is Josh Primo's behavior.

And they are not going to use the "she had it coming defense." I am willing to bet on it.

Yeah this is a big nothing burger. Britney tried to act like everyone should know her, this isn’t 2003 anymore, she looks just like any soccer mom nowadays. Vic’s team told her to sit back and Britney felt humiliated by the whole situation. I mean we are supposed to support Britney’s ego complex bc she has mental health issues? That helps her how?

She gets publicity AND gets to play the victim AND her -eating, cousin- ing cracker fans get to fantasize about lynching a black man. I think she just sewed up the GOP nomination in ‘28.

There are a lot of normal people here. But there are also a ton of people who are weird AF and say awful they wouldn't dare say in real life. Thats always been my rub with a lot of the people who post boundary pushing on here. When we used to meet up with people from here, none of the people who did that acted like that in real life (for the most part). People shriveled up real ing quick looking sheepish AF. Still though, definitely lots of incel mfers running around here these days.

    My thoughts as well.

Reverse the incident and I wonder what the reaction would have been to a 7'5" black man grabbing Britney from behind out in public...NBA player or no.

Britney and her camp should be apologetic. Spurs security did their jobs.

Seriously I'm not too happy with this. Feels like she sensed Victor's immense social magnitude and launched herself into his sphere to leech attention. Her s bag entourage "handlers" managing her brand needed exposure opportunities.

Starting to worry about the Beatle Mania circus for Wemby.
