An eyewitness backs up Spears's version

think Britney knowing what it’s like to be famous and surrounded by security guards, should have known to approach one of the security guards first to see if she could have a short conversation with the basketball player. I do not think it was okay for the guard to get so aggressive, but he was just doing his job, and he probably did not realize who she was when it happened.

It's already been reported that security approached and apologized. There are ways to do that without accepting responsibility for civil or criminal liability.
As for the optics, that depends on how you present it. I have yet to see the Spurs are guilty narrative in the major mediascape.
If a male tried to touch Spears in the same manner and her security team reacted the same way, people would say he deserved it.
