Lol their golden opportunity year with all the talent set up, easier conference etc and they choked it all away in a matter of one drive in less than two minutes.

Still a chance if they run the table but lol, lol.
And the instant reaction of “well we can just beat OU in the Big 12 championship” this is TEXAS, they will definitely piss one away vs TCU or K-State. Probably both.

Pampered, en led, and delusional…what a trio

Recently listened to Keyshawn commenting on the Chargers going for it on 4th with tiny field behind them.

He argued driving the field in NFL and getting in the end zone in limited time is really difficult. So much can go wrong - holding penalty. False start. Illegal formation.

Sooners drove the length of the field under 1:17. That's the story of the day.

why did u fail to mention that oklahoma had to use bush league tactics to win.........texas had momentum & was moving the ball at will.......oklahoma faked an injury that lead to a 10 minute delay with commercials.......it stalled the texas drive & the player was back on the field next play...........

    Same ol crap different year
Horns seemed to have turned the corner
    Sucks
    Wrong.

UT has much more talent that is being developed.

As for the game the guy who was by far the best player on the field was Dillion Gabriel. And he had to be.
I will say UT d coordinator got schooled by OU offensive coordinator. That last drive rushing THREE men was absolutely mind boggling stupid. Basically just gave them the field goal that became a TD. UT did a good job of playing a strong 4 th quarter till that total mismanagement of the situation.

OU only has one real chance to lose left imo. Kansas. Easy conf schedule for OU. UT has to win out with both centers injured. Gonna be tough. Hopefully the true backup center that did not play yesterday is through his rehab. Center is very important with this offense and calling blocking schemes.

Great job by Venables using the portal and turning over the roster. Great game for OU. Yet another good coach for the Sooners. They do a really good job of replacing coaches. They were a joke last year. Really awful. UT is fine. If the recruiting stays solid. D coordinator better have learned a lesson though.

Oklahoma was the best team yesterday.
They had the best player on the field.and a better game plan.
I explained how UT could have won. Hindsight.

I could also give you scenarios why Oklahoma should have one by more. UT scored a TD on a really poor blocked punt from a sooner point of view and did not take advantage of TOS. While Ewers was flustered it got UT back into the game and then Ewer’s got hot.

Ypur point was “same old UT”. That is YOUR point.
You are flat out wrong imo.
This is a much better team than the last two coaches and Sarks first two seasons.
Not even close. But happens. Players get injured etc…
I will take the level of talent over any team UT has had maybe since 2008-9 ish.

UT is fine but I think that the aspirations were higher. They can still make the CFP but we can't really say they control their own destiny anymore. I agree that this team is definitely different than years past regardless.

And it’s Oklahoma. We have beaten them when we were very bad. Games are bizarre, especially this one.

It’s just totally different type of game. when the announcer say it’s half-and-half and very very loud, they are not kidding. You will never have a game like this in Austin or in Norman, which is why it’s great it stays in Dallas. These teenagers and young 20-year-olds really get freaked out on the field, they feel it.

It’s a great game for college football. Unique because of the split crowd. I’m glad it will continue. I love college football with pure nervous tension.

UT actually needs OU to win out.
The problem. OU may have 2 offensive lineman out for the season.
Even though OU turned over half its roster with transfers, the OL for a runner like Gabriel is important. Gabriel will get injured if he has to run as many times as he did against UT.

UT missed Sanders badly. We also have lost our center it appears. They had a rhythm between the center and the two young guards that helped them manage exotic twists and push. The goal line runs with a new center were not good calls. The OL has to get off the ball in unison when the other team is trying to shoot smaller gaps, especially when you dont go under center. So it has yet to be determined how badly UT got banged up besides it looks like we will have the 3 deep center playing next to two young guards.

We need to play an undefeated OU in the Big 12 championship. This may be a tough road for both teams to go undefeated in conference now. We made need to move one of our guards to center and bring in a good freshman guard (which we do have) We will see. Should be fun.

Other game I recorded out of interest.

ATM has a really bad oline. They are going to get their very good 2nd string QB killed. Max got absolutely destroyed the 2nd half. Lucky he is ok but probably so sore he is not moving much today. Milroe is still Milroe. He can chunk the ball a mile so if a secondary lets Alabama receivers get open like UT and ATM did, he will hit them for very long TDs. The receivers were just basically fielding fly balls on the TDs. Just run a mile and the ball will get there.

OU going undefeated would be ideal for Texas. Or alternatively getting 2 or 3 conference losses.
Scenarios with three one loss teams might get Texas shoved out a conference championship chance even if UT can win out.

    Pretty much.
A big fat popular bag to punch.

But the idea that UT somehow has recruited with depth and had the best players in the conference over the past 13 or so years is complete BS.
No excuses now except at the most important position on the field, QB. UT is the deepest team in the conference now.

It would have been fun to keep Texas Tech on the schedule. The new commish has made sure that wont happen. Oh well... I guess its not a revenue game? (it IS a revenue game)
Hopefully we get ATM, OU and Arky every year in the SEC now.

UT was higher ranked and opened as a Vegas favorite and stayed that way through game time. These experts do this for a living and refute your take that OU is the better team.

UT has the better athletes and has for almost every contest for years (save for some years OU, LSU, Bama, Ohio State and maybe TCU that one year) had the better squad talent wise.

Yet somehow again and again and again UT loses to a less talented team which is not en led and coddled. These who vanquish UT, like OU this past weekend, win with resourcefulness, desire,
better coaching and rising to the occasion instead of shrinking at the crucial moment.

Why UT cannot seem to be a team that strives to be more than just a group that looks good getting off the bus is frustrating. Losing to an inferior OU team, like Iowa State, KSU, OSU, TCU,
Baylor or TT when it happens is really should not happen with the facilities and $$ and supposed commitment to excellence. The problem runs deep. The ins utional surroundings has to be the
impetus for the continued failure to rise up and achieve the lofty goals that should more often be met.

Your e protein addled brain (and head stuck up your ass so far that you issue rancid driveling crap when you open your mouth) is unable to see the truth. You are a pencil
    beta excuse maker.

    Nahh...
It was a really good goal line stand by OU.
UT needed something different on the goal line with the 3rd string center.
Its very difficult to get the offensive line moving together if they are used to another center, especially on the goal line. OU did a good job of shooting gaps that the center is supposed to recognize and relay. So Sark admitted it was bad play calling on his part basically. There are so many things that add up through an entire football game that one can always come up with a better ending. If UT had not blocked the punt for a TD early on they could have been out of the game early on.

I have no problem with the outcome. It was fair. I do have a problem with various other calls by the coaches. Especially playing prevent defense against a QB like Dillion Gabriel. The guy has already played 44 games and in his 6 th year. So the UT defense thinks he cannot run an offense given the time he had? The dude has been in this situation and practiced with this same offense (yes at UCF) for like 5 years and we are going to sit back... ? Not a good idea.
    And justly punished by OU.

Move on. We have learned the UT defense has trouble with mobile QBs that are very accurate. Wish we would have played the starting Kansas QB and learned this while beating them. Maybe the knowledge would have carried over into the OU game. We got an extra week to stew on this and maybe get some defensive backs out of injured status and maybe get a center back. OU also had some injuries along the Oline. They are not out of the woods yet either. It was a tough game on a number of bodies. It usually is.
