UT was higher ranked and opened as a Vegas favorite and stayed that way through game time. These experts do this for a living and refute your take that OU is the better team.
UT has the better athletes and has for almost every contest for years (save for some years OU, LSU, Bama, Ohio State and maybe TCU that one year) had the better squad talent wise.
Yet somehow again and again and again UT loses to a less talented team which is not en led and coddled. These who vanquish UT, like OU this past weekend, win with resourcefulness, desire,
better coaching and rising to the occasion instead of shrinking at the crucial moment.
Why UT cannot seem to be a team that strives to be more than just a group that looks good getting off the bus is frustrating. Losing to an inferior OU team, like Iowa State, KSU, OSU, TCU,
Baylor or TT when it happens is really should not happen with the facilities and $$ and supposed commitment to excellence. The problem runs deep. The ins utional surroundings has to be the
impetus for the continued failure to rise up and achieve the lofty goals that should more often be met.
