Not the only one, but I understand your simplistic point of view. It's just myopic like most of your thoughts here.

    Links please.

    You're just making up now.

The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan was a fait accompli that even your Trump knew would happen. Why do you think he left the Afghan government out of the "peace" negotiations?
Do you think a war of attrition was the goal?

    fait accompli ?

America couldn't muster the resources to stop the Taliban if it really wanted to? Are you serious?

The Hill: Senator Cotton: Biden’s $100B request ‘dead on arrival’

Cotton balked at spending $11.8 billion to fund Ukraine’s nonmilitary needs, such as retirement pensions for Ukrainian government employees.
I think he's good with the military spending though. I would assume.

You aren't responding in good faith or you're too stupid to understand what you just quoted..

    fait accompli ?

You just answered your own question.

You left out the part where it talks about how the senate GOP is messaging this with a demand for "leverage to get their long-desired changes to U.S. asylum policies."

Now you are carrying water for the GOP. And I am predicting you will suck at deductions again in your response.

Does the filibuster not apply in the Senate to this?

fait accompli: a thing that has already happened or been decided before those affected hear about it, leaving them with no option but to accept it.

It was not a fait accompli. But for some reason it wasn't as important to you as this.

of course it was a fait accompli.

Did you want to stay there and spend money and young American men for another 20 years?

    Yes or no.

    Of course you didn't .

    Neither did anyone else.

    Do you understand?

    Yes or no.

He' just one senator but it's at risk of being cut (I don't know by how much). If you don't think so then you have your head in the sand.

You didn't even read the article. You still haven't.

I am not going to engage you directly, dan. I will talk at you sure but do not expect engagement. I don't take you seriously after all.

Did anyone, by chance, make agreements with the taliban on when troops would be removed?

You are the “guy that buys all agreements” so, did anyone do that?

Many in GOP including mcconnell were ready to stay. Good option or Bad option doesn't matter -- There were two options. We chose the option to leave.

Senators don't direct troop deployment. Congress punted all of its responsibility and power decades ago.

The House GOP could stop it but not Senate.

A filibuster can slow a bill but Senate Democrats are the majority.

Democrats can create procedures to get around the filibuster roadblock.

I glad you realized the cons ution gives war powers to the congress quick enough to edit your post.

Not that it even disproves my point that we choose to leave and didn't have to.

Congress gave away their war powers decades ago.

They had no say whatsoever and they wanted it that way.

There was no will to stay.

    Did you want to stay?

    Yes or no.

The House GOP is in chaos so that's probably a wild card. Could benefit Biden or not.

I am very confident this round of military aid will make it. Not confident the aid for pensions and civil works will be 100% in tact.

Politics makes strange bed fellows but Israel and Ukraine are supported by majority of voters (Dem/GOP/Independents) so I do not see too many in House/Senate sticking their necks out and voting against the $106B funding request.

Even old Mitch strongly endorsed the request.
