sounds like that’s what half the posters in this thread are guilty of. I guess they’re just so eager to and moan about every little thing, they just jump at any opportunity.

It’s frustrating watching the team lose but do we really need to turn the season into a soap opera? It’s a young team with growing pains. There’s not a dramatic ulterior meaning behind every little thing

It's sad that so much of sports media is still stuck in the daily newspaper/Sportscenter/tabloid mindset where people are expected to only be interested in "the stars" when the reality is fans all know what is going on with the stars and hunger for direct, personal reporting on the lesser known aspects of the team and the game.
It sounded like he wanted to criticize Wembys shot selection and positioning but stopped himself. Now I won't take that as a sign that he doesn't like wemby though, sounded more like he wants the whole team including Wemby to figure things out and make the proper adjustments to start winning again.
Yall have to stop projecting your insecurities on the players.

Hubbie Brown too in the Knicks game. I think anyone that knows anything at all about basketball thinks Wemby should be the focal point. I also think they would not be impressed by the coach that just sits there and shoots the with the opposing teams every night they lose.
Its not at all though. This is what happens when you have talents the caliber of Wemby. This is what happened with Lebron, this is what happened with Zion. I definitely get the feeling from Vassell that he doesn't like the focus being so much on Wemby. He had a quote last year that he didn't want to hear about tanking for Wemby early in the year because they were about winning last year and not tanking. Look, I like that he's got a bit of a fight in him, but honestly the sooner the other Spurs recognize their role in the pecking order the better. This is Wemby's team and while Vassel can be a damn good player in the future he's never going to lead a team to the le. I don't know that I want that level of understanding from him, but at some point he needs to recognize that Wemby is the draw and will always shine brighter than him.

They’re not trading Vassell, and yes, it would be annoying to have nearly every question be about Victor. It’s not immaturity, it’s frustration. He’s having a great year, shooting the 3 ball well, getting to the line, and they ask about Victor. He’s just returned from an injury, and they ask about Victor. PLENTY of other things they can talk to Devin about.
Spurstalk would shut down if that ever happened.
The French reporter was a bit dramatic and I was a dumbass for taking his word instead of watching it myself.
BUT I don't get why some are saying he's being bombarded with Wemby questions. He had one Wemby question in that 5 minute post game. Also lol at people saying it's understandable for a teammate to be openly annoyed at a Wemby question this early in the year. That would be a red flag, imo.

If you are all about winning, you could care less what people ask cause winning happens on the court—just saying.
