Instead of wasting half a season trying to make him a PG, we should have had him in the film room studying Dennis Rodman. He is about the same size as Dennis. Have him watch, study, and practice rebounding for at least an hour or two a day. Practice so much that he starts to read the funky angles of shots and the bounces off the backboard and rim, and as able to quickly adjust and attack the ball before opponents.
The one thing Dennis had that Sochan doesn't is CRAZY. Dennis was crazy in the head. He used it to his advantage to mentally challenge his opponents. He was use sexual antics to get opposing players to get upset and it would distract them from their game. He would use leverage, angles, and just be an all out pest all game long. He would also trash talk non stop. Draymond Green plays similar to Dennis. He plays dirty, talks lots of trash, and just does what he can to get at you mentally, so you forget about simply playing basketball.
Sochan is more reserved. But, if he can at least learn how to rebound better by watching Dennis, that would be a great thing.
One area Dennis really excelled at was boxing out. I guarantee if Jeremy can learn to box out the way Dennis did, his rebounding will go up by at least 4-5 per game.
Honestly, if I were Pop and Sochan, I would call Dennis and see if he would be willing to coach Jeremy in the offseason.
