Nah I disagree. At least he can make a layup now and again unlike Wesley.
The brain rot is real in this fan base and website.

    Facts over moronic, incorrect feelings:

    Evan Fournier - 79/221 (35.7%) and 9/22 (40.9%) on layups

    Malachi Branham - 271/628 (43.2%) and 88/149 (59.1%) on layups

    Blake Wesley - 102/215 (47.4) and 49/91 (53.8%) on layups

Evan Fournier sucked last season and he's less of an NBA player than either Wesley or Brahnam, so any rational fan wouldn't want him anywhere near this team.

Fournier is worse than either of them, and would do better than NBA minimum in Europe.
Thankfully, not everyone on this site is a blithering imbecile like the guy hoping the Spurs sign Fournier.

I suspect the Spurs are going to limit Wembanyama's minutes for a second consecutive season because of this extra mileage.

Not bad choices, but I feel like Durant probably should be in there.

wrf did you watch these Olympic Games at all? He was one of the best players in the tourney. Wesley wouldn’t even be allowed to sit on the end of the bench there, unless he happened to have Norwegian in him or something.

And man relax a little. You seem like you are about to have a heart attack over this conversation. That’s just pathetic.

Fournier is finito. His only contribution during these Olympic Games was to have pushed Collet to change his policy during the tournament and to have scored an important three points. For the rest, even if he showed good defensive predispositions, I don't really see what he would do at Spurs. Yabusele, on the other hand, is a different story (but I doubt that any franchise could offer him the slightest project given what he knows in the best club in Europe).

Him "playing well" during a short international tournament doesn't mean anything about his ability to still play in the NBA. He is 'washed' (as the kids say) as a NBA player and both Branham & Wesley are better than him.

And I like how you ignore how piss poor his NBA stats were and jump to nonsense about 'Wesley can't even make the team.' Fournier made team France mostly based on seniority and chemistry, not because he's still a capable or quality player.

If all you consider is shooting efficiency, sure. Overall he's still being a very impactful player while playing within a system that doesn't always feature him.
Which he trained for during his rookie season.

Realistically you could have 4 US players and Jokic.

If you google fournier, specifically just his last name ‘Fournier’ I think you’ll understand then

But seriously I don’t think his nba stats from the past couple years are relevant to his abilities at all. He has been sat on the bench by Tibbs and not played relevant minutes. Mostly he was out of rotation and he’s one of these players that needs regular minutes to get his thing going I guess you could say. If I thought he was finished I definitely wouldn’t be interested. I don’t think Wemby needs French friends on the team, but I mean I think getting a French vet for him would be useful. I would have preferred Batum, I love his warrior at ude. And honestly I saw that Yab guy too and man if we could get him away from Spain somehow I think it would be useful. That guy can play.

i was also just ing around on the layup joke, that was just a common meme of SP. it’s better than the endless 29356 pick swap joke around here lol. But the stats you came up with were actually kind of interesting.

Even at this stage of his career I would love the Spurs to pick up Batum just to have his professional presence in the locker room alone (although I still think he could contribute on the floor) Dude is a major class act

Brother, he's just not good anymore.
I would've loved to have had him 3 or 4 years ago when he was a volume 3-point shooter & double-digit scorer that the team (still) sorely needs.

He has had a good NBA career, but his defense makes him unplayable at this point plus he's become inefficient from outside (shot 25.4% last season and 30.7% the season prior). Obviously, the smaller sample size is likely hurting his percentages but he doesn't bring anything else to the table if his shot isn't falling.

He could probably go to Europe and get paid well, while playing significantly more minutes and having a much larger role.
