Are you ing re ed? Every time the GOP gets in power they blow up the deficit by giving tax cuts to the rich. Every single time.
I'm not defending any party bro, they're both as corupted, just under different influences that in the end leads the the same type of spending/deficit.

The cost of war is tough to match tho and tbh I wasn't refferring it for its cost but for the (relative) peaceful era in the world during Trump's administration. As weird as the dude is, he kept the world safe with his weird PR.

I'm not american and don't have a side really, I just find it hard to understand how any intelligent person would take any side other than by default. Both are ed up

Unwittingly (I think he's a decent man who thinks he's doing the right thing) Pop is dividing ppl using his plateform to insult one side and by extention a huge part of the (US) Spurs fans who haven't asked anything else than enjoying their basetball team to take a break from this crazy world we live in.

If there's one thing that would've been worth doing in his position it's to federate ppl and remind them we have more that unites us than divides us.

Government Expenditures as a % of GDP Since 1980:

    Team A President: 21.05%
    Team B President: 20.73%
I was talking in recent history bro with the basic knowledge of the INSANE daily cost of wars.

If you compare the last 2 administrations, it's just not close.

It's because the white moocher class feels like their economic shortcomings are the result of being crowded out by non-whites, instead of the reality that it's because of their lack of skills, education, or basic social skills. Somewhere in Alabama there is a meth-addicted high school drop out with a confederate flag tattooed on his neck thinking that the only thing standing between him and a mid-level management job at a Fortune 500 company is some minority who got the job instead.
Long-time lurker. This is the shallowest most team blue list of cliches like ever. "Meth-addicted high school drop out." " Confederate flag". Geez, even Ta-Nahisi Coates would be embarrassed by those cliches. I'm sure all those Kamala supporters in Alamo Heights and King William are in favor of a Bernie Sanders plan for wealth distribution. Get real. The Dems are the party of the white professional class. This is classic divide and conquer. Trump is a fool and a fraud but the Dems are not the good guys. Those Alabama people are voting for Trump because people are irrational and emotional and are scared. Trump surely won't help them, but the other side are just a bunch of "mind readers" who can look into those rednecks non-existent souls and tell them why they are voting the way they are voting. Trump IS a con-man and won't help them but you guys are so unlikeable.

I encourage Pop (please, for the love of God) to retire from basketball and focus on politics.
hahah I sit center right but Pop would actually be a pretty damn good Politician for the Dems and America.

Always cracks me up when these Trump voters list immigration as the biggest or second biggest concern but then they vote for a guy who hires illegals. It's white supremacy, same as it ever was in the confederacy.

Trump is a ing idiot and it's obvious to anybody who listens to him speak.

I'm not saying Harris or Biden are/were great options, either.

The system is broken, and that's what worries me the most about the future of America.

I was talking in recent history bro with the basic knowledge of the INSANE daily cost of wars.

If you compare the last 2 administrations, it's just not close.
The United States has spent 0.35% of it's GDP from 2022-24 on the Ukraine War.

FYE 2016 before Trump took office, the US Budget Deficit was 3.13% of GDP.

FYE 2020 before Trump left office, the US Budget Deficit was 14.71% of GDP, and had increased every since year he was in office.

FYE 2023, the US Budget Deficit had reduced back down to 6.28% of GDP.

This is not a new trend.

Reagan inherited a 2.64% deficit relative to GDP, left 3.01% (after blowing it up 5% from 1983-1986).

    Bush I inherited 3.01%, left 4.52%.

Clinton inherited 4.52%, left with a 2.33% SURPLUS.

    Bush I inherited a 2.33% Surplus, left a 9.76% deficit.

Obama inherited a 9.76% deficit, left with a 3.13% deficit.

Trump inherited 3.13%, left with 14.71% deficit.

If you want to talk strictly expenditures:

2016, the year before Trump took office, Gov Spending was 20.48% of GDP
2020, the last year Trump was in office: Gov Spending was 30.69% of GDP
2023, the last year of available data: Gov Spending was 22.13% of GDP

These facts are all available for free on the internet.

Trust me, I can provide equally as blistering stereotypical critiques of Dem voters as well - but they aren't the ones currently running a racist grifter.

Thanks. I retract my "it's not close"

FYI again, I'm not advcating for Trump, I just find the opp camp almost scarier on different topics, espacially Ukraine and Israel. Even if for the latter I suspect Trump to have the same line than Kamala even if he's smart enough not to say it explicitly.

There are actually two reasons to vote for Trump, and I actually have some amount of respect for people who are willing to just admit them:

    1) you're a high income individual and all you care about is paying lower taxes. This also makes you a myopic, selfish prick, but at least you're honest about it
    2) you're into the idea of some dystopian Gilead-like future and this moves us closer to that. This also makes you a piece of human, but at least you're honest about it

Any attempt to justify support for Trump based on economic grounds, or because you believe in the rule of law (lol), etc. are so quickly undermined by Trump's policies and positions, you can't expect to be taken seriously.

Trump's position on Ukraine will be to let Putin have it, and his position on Israel will be to encourage, allow, and perhaps even help Bibi to complete the genocide of any non-Israeli Jew in the region. He's effectively said all of these things publicly.

In the US basically only the Trump voters pull this bothsides bull . No one is being blind to how the Democrats are. They're a right wing party that's the US equivalent to the Tories. Doesn't mean I'm not going to vote for them when the GOP is the US equivalent to the Nazis. Anyone who rants about voting third party doesn't understand the two party system is enshrined in the US cons ution by the way the president is elected.

You're the one talking about how you're against the cost (but not the cost, whatever that means) of supporting Ukraine against Russia. The alternative is appeasement. What other option do you see? I suppose there is the US and NATO engaging in an all-out invasion of Russia... but I don't think that will go too well for anyone.

I think you need to forget rationality. 99% of voters are lead by fear and vote against more than for a candidate.

You're in the minority, remember that

    100%.

Since I've been old enough to vote, with only two exceptions, every vote has been cast as a "lesser of two evils" vote.

Clinton, nor Biden nor Harris aren't the folks I'd choose if the Dem party asked my opinion, but it's such a no-brainer against Trump that it doesn't require a lot of critical analysis.
