Yeah, I'm starting to give up on Branham...
Mamu's defense is questionable, but it's just ridiculous that Pop hates him this much, especially after the pre-season he had.

and he plays Branham as much as he does. So sick of him looking at these guys as his kids and favors them to the detriment of the franchise.
These guards are good defensively and none of the other players can create their own shot. He's figuring it out.
Doesn't want to shoot from distance so when they double Wemby on the screen they just stay over and he just stand there doing a bunch of nothing.
Terrible lineup by Pop surrounding Wemby with non shooters AND THEN having him set all the screens, allowing the other team to easily double.
Just more proof this dude is cooked as a coach.

Based on value, extending the contract made sense. He's on a cheap contract and there is still a longshot he can develop himself into a decent player...
That said, I don't see him being a future piece for the Spurs and am just hoping some team is willing to take a flyer on him as a filler tbh

Mamu isn't long term in Pops eyes, that's why he rides the bench. Scary that Wesley and Branham are seen as long term.

1. Pop doesn't know how to coach Wemby... He doesn't have an offensive structure around him... Wemby scores off just talent and broken plays
2. Sochan shouldn't start... There's zero spacing
3. Drop coverage shouldn't be a thing in 2024... Pop needs to coach better
