Vic was obviously trash shooting wise and had some horrible TOs. But that was one of the worst defensive games I've ever seen from him.

Zero rim protection, slow to help all night. Absolutely terrible. Western Conference Defensive Player of the Month tbh

    3 - 9 against teams over .500

    Plenty of room to grow

Hopefully we bounce back Thursday at home against the Bulls

It says something (not sure what) that the Spurs only lost by whatever minus the intentional fouling on this horrible shooting night. If they were even in the 25% from 3 range they'd have blown out the Suns.

I have never seen a player so consistently short on every shot like CP3 tonight. He must be exhausted or sore or something
He definitely was off tonight, and it carried over to the rest of the team. I do hope they pull back on his minutes in games like today to let the youngsters figure it out.

On the flip side, if KD doesn’t get hurt we may lose by 30

Just a bad game from everyone on team.

I still feel this team will be more serious without Sochen playing.
Jeremy was good tonight, in his first game back from injury

The only explanation is Wemby got Diarhhea or something. That was awful.

I just checked and they literally haven't beaten a good team that wasn't on the 2nd night of a b2b all season

That's at least progress from the last season but yeah this team isn't as good as their .500 record suggests tbh.

Well the Spurs have Trey Jones out so it balances out.

Bad game from Wemby. Perfect time to start pounding it inside when his threes weren't falling.
There's a nice sequence for him at the start of the third but again, team got collective amnesia and went away from that tactic to keep chuck-chuck-chucking away from outside.

    .500 is misleading

People thinking playoffs are over rating their current record

They apparently have also played the least road games in the nba as of the SAC game.

Good effort. Didn’t think they would win until Durant went down.

The Spurs chucking up 44 3pt attempts is wild. They can’t shoot. That Kings game gave them irrational confidence. But the Kings don’t defend at all especially the 3.

Probably needed the old man tonight. Sometimes you just need an adult in the room.

They really need to address the shooting in the offseason. Yikes.

Having only watched the second, and looking at the box score.

We shot like , missed open dunks in transition, and there are clearly continuity / connection issues, from the young core playing together and not being connected (and some just dumb things - helping from 1 pass away off the corner) . Type of loss that happens.

Without a second viewing, and the didn't watch the first half caveat, I thought a lot of the shots generated were pretty good, just misses.

Brutal game, offense was anemic, team seemed pretty uninspired which is disappointing since it was supposed to be a game that mattered. Vassell played 28 min, he needs to be starting again asap. For Julian or Castle, doesn't matter. Mitch needs to shake up the early line-ups because going down 15 points to start every game ain't it. If Mitch is going to just keep trotting out the same starters and initial subs then the first quarter failures are firmly on his shoulders.

I hate the narrative that Wemby and Sochan can't coexist, but they are doing nothing to dispel it. Wemby went right back to looking like he did in Dallas on opening night, they just seem to want to occupy so much of the same space at times during possessions and it gets clunky.

Interesting that even with tre out Blake n mb still couldn’t get in. So does make one wonder if his being out did mess up rotation

Gotta give the Phoenix Suns credit. They played with energy and knocked down shots. Tyus Jones and Plumlee gave SA trouble and the big 3 Booker, Durant, Beal all looked good.
