    Exactly.

Zero justice in the universe. Those kids killed at the school yesterday. No sympathy. Americans voted for billionaires who care about military weapons more than your children. Keep voting red and keep "finding out."

Bullies are pussies. Trump wont bash pop because he knows pop will fire back and embarrass him even more.
Instead trump will whine about it on his lying liars treasonous liars website.

    You're kidding, right?

What "point"? That the slightest hint of politics is responsible for a 48% (non-checked) drop in viewership, instead of the many, many other things currently wrong with the NBA product, like a lack of offensive and defensive variety, or stretched-out and commercial-ridden games, insanely obnoxious gambling ads, and the unbalanced and offensively-overpowered shootout nature of most games?

It's so completely off the mark that I'm surprised you even took it seriously. But I guess we really live in an age where even the wrongest takes can be spun into some "hidden truth" for conspiracy theorists to jack-off over.

Not to mention Musk's pathetic addition, trying to spin a coherent argument into "foaming-at-the-mouth" dismissal because that's the only retort he can come up with, other than "who-is-this-guy"'ing one of the most iconic and well-known coaches in NBA history.

I'm not sure you understand who's missing what point, buddy.

Yes, the league absolutely lacks offensive variety. There was a Bulls game last week that cracked 100 attempted 3-pointers...

Defense is not as bad, but of course follows suit with the min-maxxing of the league.

And the truly imbecilic thing is to pretend like the average person who's stopped watching the NBA did so because of Pop's rants or something, instead of the declining product.

The idea that the NBA - which literally just had an incredible bidding war for media rights - has lost HALF of its viewers is ing LAUGHABLE.

The NBA has never been as popular as it is now. I get that some idiots online who support the fascist may want to lie (shocker) about that but y'all have to be a bit more savy.

I don’t believe people understand that the nba is expanding their revenue streams much more than the other leagues. Football is unpopular anywhere outside of the US. Baseball is popular in the Caribbeans, Japan and Taiwan. Hockey is only popular in Canada, Russia and some Scandinavian countries. While the nba is popular throughout the world, maybe outside of Central Asia and certain parts of South America. American TV viewership is not a huge focus, especially with the nba moving more and more of viewership to streaming platforms.

The average age of nba fans are younger than baseball and football fans, so moving to streaming is natural. NBA also are selling highlights heavily not to promote the league but to promote products. Sponsorship dollars are huge for the nba and ancient trilobites are still looking at tv viewership as the health of the league as if it’s still 2005. NBA is making record revenue year over year since the early 80s, with the only dip coming from 99, 12 (lockout seasons) and 21 (COVID).

Also, to think that the league is suffering from some widespread dip in popularity due to one coach going off on trump is hubris. The world doesn’t make every single decision based on trump. People just watch sports. It’s given that the US is about as split as it has ever been, so if the nba is suffering from going left, wouldn’t the nfl and nascar suffer from going right? By the same token, wouldn’t the nhl and mlb suffer from having no stance at all?

We're not 10-20 years ago where you could use sport for social/political reasons. This era is over but some are late to the party.

People all over the world has emancipated themselves and don't wanna be treated like kids who need to be told who's good/bad or what we should think.

It has nothing to do with having different opinions or being uber sensitive at anyone's in particular, but with the PRINCIPLE itself of using a sporting platform to sell/lobby for your side, whatever this one is.

Pop is living in the past where political correctness was a thing.

People want sports to remain what it is, just sport. Not a political tool

Trump just showed up at the Army/Navy game and a big political deal was made of it.

    It wasn't just sport.

And why was it noteworthy Trump attended?

He isn't Commander in Chief at this time.
