European troops can go on a "peace keeping" mission in Ukraine to uphold a negotiated agreement.
That's just one of many options.
It's Russia's dirt, Dumper.

So basically make it a NATO country.![]()
How would rewarding Russia for their aggression and encouraging them to do it again, maybe against NATO member next time, be cheaper for USA?
Just let your neighbor your wife. It’s cheaper than divorce!!!1!1![]()
Putin is not going on a suicide mission by choosing to engage in a major conflict with NATO.
Well that explains your thinking. You are married to Ukraine. I'm not.
No. No US troops. No Article V guarantees. No fighting to kick Russia out of all of Ukraine. Not a NATO country.
It actually explains your thinking pretty well. It’s all only about money to you. Unfortunately, the world is more complicated than that.
A single PAC-3 PATRIOT missile cost about $4 million. How many Americans could you feed for the cost of a single PATRIOT missile?
Weren't you just complaining about Argentina's defense spending? Argentina is spending around $2 or $3 billion on defense. We're spending about $900 billion.
Hitler wouldn't make a suicide decision of declaring war on USA while already fighting UK on sea and USSR on land. The imperial Japan wouldn't make a suicide by bombing a naval base of much stronger opponent. Saddam wouldn't be an idiot an invade Kuwait. Putin wouldn't make a mistake of attacking Ukraine. That's the thing with dictators - when they make a dumb decision, there is no one around to tell they are being an idiot.
And it's not like it's dumb from his perspective. Ending the war is already not an option for Russia. As soon as the war ends, their economy implodes. So if fighting in Ukraine stops, another war will have to get started. And why not start a war with say Estonia or Romania? With the NATO already throwing everything at them in Ukraine and failing to stop them, the USA already ready to bend the knee over the cost of some old equipment and zero US deaths? Will the guy who wants to leave NATO really commit USA troops to die in Estonia? It's not like USA is obliged by NATO treaty to go to war, they just have to "take the actions it deems necessary to assist".
You yourself already hedged it with "major" conflict. Is Russia's war with Estonia a major conflict? Russia is already destroying NATO infrastructure and sabotaging in NATO territory, and the USA and NATO aren't responding militarily. Right now the rational assumption is that USA won't commit to a potentially nuclear war and honor their treaties. I have more faith in EU article 42 than in NATO article 5, which currently look closer to value of Budapest memorandum.
So just let Russia attack again.![]()
We’re not going to stop making PATRIOT missiles, so that’s a moot point. Once Congress appropriated the money it’s going to be spent. Now if you tell me the US spends way too much on defense, I agree and I said as much.
I was pointing out you’re comparing apples to oranges. Argentina is not a military technological leader, and the US doesn’t have half its population under the line of poverty. If it did, and we still spend that much in defense, then we certainly would have a problem.
I hate to break it to you but what I'm describing is seriously being discussed in Europe. You're clueless as usual.![]()
Europe
A) no boots
B) our costs blew up
C) we have international problems
Europe is seeing internal problems
Unlike USA, we do not accept Multiculturalism
AFD
People are tired of the slogans
No, the point is that we're sending them to Ukraine entirely at our expense... an expense that could better be spent here. We have to buy many more as a result of giving them away.
We have a problem now. $1 Trillion on Interest Expense and $900 Billion on military. If you don't see a problem then you'll have to find out the long and hard way if we don't fix it.
Berlin will have a conservative in power and it's your fault
Putin says he is ready for talks. Now is the time to seize the moment.
