Oh I like that idea better
No need technicals, just count 3s over the limit as 2 pointers. Let morons chuck logo 2s if they like it.
Oh I like that idea better
beat me to it.
Signs point to yes. Past like 4-5 years before this one, maybe longer, the other team's best 3pt shooter was always completely unguarded. Our team is stupid as . Chris Paul and HB have helped a ton.
i mean some of our players are just bad. as far as low bball iq, its really keldon and branham that stick out. wesley as well but he's gotten better
I’m probably the only guy on ST who still believes in Wesley. His quickness is something you are just born with, and his vision and playmaking has improved significantly from last year (not saying much) when he was given a chance. He plays hard on D, and if he keeps improving his offence he could be a modern day Lindsay hunter / Brandon knight type player.
No, I believe in Wesley too. He's definitely smarter than Branham. I've compared him before as well (potentially, of course) to Lindsey Hunter. Love his game, but wish he had a jumpshot. I feel that's why he's on the bench. He was guardd by Stephen Adams early on this season and couldn't punish him, because there's no "in and out" to his game. Of the two (bran Ham and Wesley), I'd have given Wesley the 4th year without a thought. Branham shouldve never gotten year 4 guaranteed.
I liked what we started to see from Blake to start the season, and then Tre came back and he just went back to the bench. Doesn't make any sense to me, considering we picked up that 4th year option. Maybe we move Tre at the deadline and Blake gets some of those backup PG minutes.
Remember when the Spurs used to have good players who couldn't crack the rotation? Now they can't field a decent starting five and trade away lottery picks.
Spurs developmental coaching seems to lag behind compared to elite operations in teams like OKC/Memphis, but there is really not much can be done when key rotational youth like Sochan, Vassell are fundamentally low IQ with horrendous situational awareness. Just hope they get shipped or their roles reduced so they can find a proper niche..
Dumbest coaching staff as well
Some dumb players, and an even dumber coach.
Here's my ranking of Spurs players.
1- FOX
2- CP3
3- CASTLE
4- WEMBY
5- BARNES.
Those are the best and/or smartest players on our team...in order. You have those players on the court at the same time, the SPURS are worth watching. And yeah...we need a big.
Maybe JKidd has had enough.
Sochan is one of the dumbest people I've ever seen on a court. I'm assuming the hair dye has just seeped in tbh.
Sochan passes up a shot with time running out in the quarter and dribbles the quarter out without putting up a shot.
I’ve seen him passes up shots every time as if he got traumatized to shoot it’s dumb. The potential to score stops at his hands. He wasn’t like this before. He needs to shoot them, make hard cuts to the basket. It’s frustrating.
I would love to scan his brain right now to see if his brain is showing signs of atrophy.
cbf to make a meme but I see the drake one in my head for sochan:
shoot the wide open 3 created for you at the end of the quarter > nah
dribble 8 times and not even attempt a shot before the buzzer > yea
What is the one-and-done rule? Is that playing one year in college? What is the actual reason for this rule? Is it to reach an age limit before you can play in the NBA? Also, not sure about the not being paid unless you can play rule. That might force some players to play when they shouldn't and could lead to serious injury. Maybe dock their pay if they can't play, but don't take all of it away. Maybe 50% pay cut for games they don't play? I don't know, I just don't want to see players pushing through injuries and getting hurt more. That's my main concern with a rule like that.
Edit : Just thought about it and yeah, that'll never happen. You could never do that in a regular job, so even though these guys get paid a lot, they should still get paid if they're truly injured and can't play. Load management, though, needs to be looked at more closely IMO.

I’d put Mamu up there. I don’t know why he doesn’t get more minutes than Sochan tbh. While at it, I’d draft Danny Wolf for my 2nd pick and should raise the bball IQ of this club.
Why? This just means more money for owners. Also, if I'm not misunderstanding you, you're basically advocating that players shouldn't get payed when injured. That's not really defensible (I imagine even in the US?). If that happened to me, that I got injured on the job, and then I wouldn't be payed at all for the days I missed because of it, I would sue.
The couple of years before Wemby was a pretty bad environment for a young developing team with hardly any vets or leadership. Instilled some poor habits into the young players especially since none of them had Wemby or Castle level bball IQ.
Getting rid of Collins was a good start. Sochan is settling into a high level role player off the bench. Vassell should get some time to adapt to the new hierarchy. Wemby should be getting some more coaching and plays run for him to score inside the paint. Should be looking at AD highlights on how to be a jumpshooting big but still find ways to score in the paint.
KJ is the next logical player to be moved. Has been trending down since he peaked in his third season. Feels like he got worse after that and never developed his game. Wonder what his value is today and if he needs a 2nd round pick attached to be offloaded.
