Texas is Way too inconsistent.
We could get blown out away just like in Georgia. We are not going anywhere in the CFP.
Get the NFL guys on their way. Get the underperforming 4 year guys gone. Get some of the young guys who made big strides late good practices and significant game time in a bowl. Prep for 2026. We played two good games this year, OU and ATM. The performances, even in those games, were erratic.
Too many flaws. We wanted the SEC to get players, we got that. The SEC will also expose flaws. I’m drinking the medicine and moving on. Color me not fooled by one game or one essentially one half of good football including 3 loses. Reward consistency.
OTF reporting the staff has been in touch with five-star DT Rich Anderson of New Orleans, LA today.
He has pivoted again and won't sign tomorrow as he's concerned about coaching stability, and specifically if Frank Wilson will remain on staff.
Mom still wants him at LSU.

As of this afternoon, OTF saying the Texas staff hasn't been informed of a final decison from OL Malakai Lee (Honolulu, HI) or OL Brysten Martinez (Gonzales, LA).
They continue to be in touch with both prospects.

IT and OTF reporting that Auburn is making a final push to flip DT Corey Wells (Petal, MS) and his brother.
Wells' brother still has a preferred walk-on offer from Texas.

According to OTF, Texas remains in contact with two prospects committed elsewhere.
No major movement...yet.
Just a heads up that both IT and OTF have been hinting that WR Jaime Ffrench, Jr. is on his way out.
He played a little bit against Arkansas, but remains behind McCutcheon and Lockett on the depth chart.
Portal notes by position from IT...
QB
• they're confident Trey Owens will transfer out, and comfortable releasing his name because it's been "obvious" for some time.
RB
• look for at least two players to leave, and possibly more. Rickey Stewart remains away from the team and isn't expected back. James Simon should be returning, and there will be funds allocated for a portal acquisition.
WR
• there will be turnover at this position, and that's likely to include at least one of the main four guys (Wingo, Mosley V, Livingstone, Moore) making a business decision to leave. The popular choice in that group is Moore. They have hinted at Jaime Ffrench, Jr. transferring out, and named Aaron Butler specifically due to his consistency issues.
TE
• at the beginning of the season, Jack Endries returning for another year was out of the question. Now, they believe he didn't have his desired production and is more likely than not to return to the team. Nick Townsend will be back. They should be losing a player who saw time this year, and Will Randle is thought to be looking for playing time elsewhere.
OL
• both tackles should be returning but guards are needed, and there are "too many players to discuss that might leave." They're waiting to see which players the staff works hard to keep versus those who are given a nudge to find other options.
DT
• they think Hero Kanu will be back but aren't certain at this time, and they don't see Alex January leaving. Justus Terry loves Austin but there will be many poachers lurking due to the caliber of player he is. The group is in good shape but not a shocker if Lavon Johnson and Melvin Hills III explore other opportunities.
DE
• no defections to talk about right now, and Zina Umeozulu is expected back despite his brother going from projected starter to being benched all year for unknown reasons.
LB
• nothing to report other than Anthony Hill, Jr. going pro, and Brad Spence moving into the hybrid DE/LB role.
DB
• Malik Muhammad is expected to declare for the draft, but Jelani McDonald is open to returning. No worries on Graceson Littleton and Kade Phillips with their playing time as true freshmen and bright futures ahead, but Sark will need to have talks with several guys in this group who are mulling things over.
BONUS
• they wrote this note separately because they said it would be obvious who it is if they put it in the positions groups, but there is a rumor of a starter leaving.
Sark needs to and I mean NEEDS to go hard a top WR portal players and bring in some damn speed again.
I'd like to see them get a true #1 option like they had with Bond and Golden, but not at the expense of rebuilding the OL for Arch's last year or acquiring a definitive starting RB to help Wisner.
Hopefully this entire season was frustrating enough that Sark and his personnel staff will do a Tech impression in the portal and more than satisfy their needs.
Hmmm. Regardless of the outcome, Texas' odds jumped quite a bit today.
Yeah it's that O Line that's the problem. WRs should be easy to find that fill the need.
I've read that it's possible Vilmael isn't a take if Davis flipped to Texas, so we'll have to see how it unfolds.

If Cristobal and Miami wanna fuggin go in the Pop Tart Bowl, let's tee it up.
Miami really doesn't have anything with tx. Miami should be asking why is notre dame at 10 and they are at 12. They have the same record. And Miami beat notre dame. Goes to show this committee does not follow their guidelines.
'27 WR offer from Crandall, who visited Texas twice this month.
