Manu is very definitely, since 2003, a pillar of the Golden Age of the Duncan/Pop Spurs.

Exactly. Manu is definitely a 6th Man ... he's the first player off the bench for the Spurs. Whether you agree with him coming off the bench, or whether you think he's more talented than all the starters doesn't matter. 6th Man Award just refers to the best player in the league that comes off the bench in a 6th Man role.
Assignment for the day is to find out which voter kept Manu from being unanimous.

I was trying to make a point... but whatever.
I know he qualifies for the award, with that said, it's a no-brainer he should be the winner, it's a gimme for him, that's what I'm saying, there's no compe ion for him in that category because he's not the regular sixth man, is there another sixth man closing out games like him? I guess that's not a common thing for most sixth mans, he's a starter coming off the bench, an all-star coming off the bench, period.
That's all I was saying, I think Manu himself doesn't like this award, but personally I'm happy for him, because he deserved some recognition
