And Duncan left 11 million on the table to help the organization keep him a contender through the end of his career.![]()
Agreed and i feel this puts a final chapter to that saga as well. I was worried big time about losing to the Suns because of how the damn media is with Shaq. I knew Tim was going to play great but if they lost a 7 game series, even if Shaq did not play all that well they were going to give him the lionshare of the credit for it. The media loves Shaq period, they spin the facts to suit that agenda. just look at the end of this series. Spurs got no love at all from ESPN. It was all about what the Suns did wrong because almost every tool at the network picked them to beat the Spurs. I am glad it is over Timmy is still on top, sorry Shaq.![]()

And they damn well better put that money to good use.
Tim Duncan is the best!![]()
One of my fav TD montages right here.![]()
I've said it before and I'll say it again, because I don't think people truly understand how amazing this is.
The best post player in the league, probably the world, can also step out and hit jumpers in rhythm off a screen. That's not even fair if you're a defender.
This guy is simply amazing and a true sign that hard work pays off. He has a below-average vertical, isn't too fast, isn't too strong, but he's good enough in all those aspects. He also works damn hard, as hard as any superstar will ever work.
There was an article on SLAM in 05 about Barry's decision to sign with the Spurs. He said one reason was that the summer that he went there to negotiate the contract, he saw Tim practicing defensive drills...in July.
We as Spurs fans are blessed to have a such a selfless, talented, and extrodinary player on our team. We should enjoy it too. Because someone like Tim is one in a million.
Nice video(but the songs could be better).
Go Duncan Go![]()
Agree with you, that songs are bad.
^^^^^^^^^^
TD put the stamp on the Shaq rivalry, it's over and he came out on top.

He had a bit of a tough series but we got through it. Timmy will own Gasol and the Lakers, he wants the repeat bad we got this .

If he hadn't been sick with the flu in the first 2 games, Spurs would've finished off the Hornets in 5. As great as Tony and Manu are, Tim Duncan is still the horse we ride.

Exactly he was sick as a dog and thank god it did not cost us this series. Timmy played well when he had too. The refs made me want to punch a hole in a wall tonight but he played through that as well.
Been a grueling playoffs for Duncan so far. Shaq/Amare in the first round. West/Chandler in the second. Hope he has enough gas left in the tank to take the team all the way.
He does Gasol can't check him, big series for Timmy coming up i know it.
Yep. Brutal first 2 rounds for Tim. I'm thinking a front-line of Odom and Gasol won't look too intimidating to him after what he's been though.
He'll own both those clowns. The closer TD gets to the finish line the better he plays, Lakers are in for classic TD in this series.
Time to show Kobe what's up.
Duncan is halfway there. He can smell it. The Championship blood is going from a simmer to a boil. He does so much for this team that doesn't show in a boxscore. Diving for loose balls. Talking to his teammates during plays, in huddles, in the locker room. Duncan at his worst is better than a lot of players in this league. He is the foundation. He will get his fifth. His repeat.
I believe in Duncan.
A few from this series:

Even 0-2 the man deserves a nod for how he's come out this year.
