Start Manu, but consider the quick pull for Barry.
I think Manu is disrupting the offense. Cant hit the three, cant take it to the rim, turnovers.
As of now Brent > Manu
Start Manu, but consider the quick pull for Barry.
Remember 05 finals?
starting manu would be a ing disaster. do that and you have absolutely no energy coming off the bench.
if anything pop will start barry ahead of finley. even if he doesnt, barry NEEDS to get more minutes. it might be silly to say, but if we win this series itll be because of our 3 point shooting. which obviously means we need to get our 3 point shooters in there. which means barry. that guys got it going, even throughout the first round against phx.
I might be silly here, but what do people think about a Tim, Kurt, Tony, Bruce and Barry lineup next game. Give tony a chance to create some penetration through the picknroll and get either bowen or barry open looks from beyond the arc. As worthless as manu's been these first 2 games, I wouldn't be suprised to see Pop put it on tony and tim's shoulders the rest of this series. Not only that, but that lineup allows Kurt on West (which ive felt like he's done a great job, even in the first game when he wasnt in foul trouble) and bowen on paul which has obviously been the most affective countermeasure to Paul. Thoughts?
It's the third quarter that's been the bane of the first two games.
I don't know wtf Pop is doing to the rotation, but the chemistry and flow is all fuct up.
Ginobili was the Hornets' best player in the first half. Starter, off the bench -- whatever, he needs to stop the hot dog antics and get back to playing championship basketball.
What does this mean?
We have better ball movement with Brent in the game.
Manu was disastrous today. I don't know what's up with him but he better prove the next game how much of a compe or he is. Stop this disappearing bull .
I would give a lot of Manu's minutes to Brent at this time. Manu doesn't even look like Manu anymore. He looks like he's at 50% and still injured. This isn't an excuse for his poor game but he can't shoot 3's, He can't drive through the lane at all very well, and he just looks really slow at everything on the court. His decision making has been horrendous since he's been injured and has been doing more harm then good so I would give them to Brent. Like he said maybe he should sit out if he's not helping the team.

Manu is injured right? Why does he have to BE the BENCH all the time. Freaking start him so NO's defense can't key in on the big 2. You guys saw that the bench if fine with out Manu to start the 4th quarter.
I agree with TimVP though that Manu needs to stop trying those silly bullet passes and forcing the ball inside. Thinking back to last seasons playoffs I thought Manu was awesome, not because of his offense, but because of his passing. Last season in the playoffs Manu had a lot more basic, safe passes and didn't turn the ball over anywhere near the clip that he is turning it over so far in this series and playoffs.
That's stupid, without Manu we've no chance (same as Tim and Tony) I think Finley should see his minutes decrease.
Manu doesn't look injured to me. He looks sloppy. I don't mind a couple of missed shots, but he's got to start taking care of that ball. He's a compe or. He's shown that before. He just needs some time to stew at his performance, remember what he's been doing in the regular season, and he'll be fine.
Agreed. Injured doesn't force you to do wild behind the back passes and dribble into double-teams. Injured doesn't make you think you can throw the ball through 45 players to Horry/Oberto/Duncan in the middle of the lane.
The excuses need to stop ... for everybody.
This is honestly the first time I've seen Ginobili play so horribly.
Dude needs to go game 5 Sonics 05 on these ers.
ALL Manu's minutes? What fresh crap is this?
I really want to know what this expression means. So if anyone knows what it means please answer me, thanks.
a lot of people are in denial when it comes to Manu..
if you're a Spurs fan, you HAVE to accept that Manu is going to have A LOT of games where he's extremely erratic..that's just how he plays the game..we are fortunate to have him, because he's unstoppable when he's hot..but when he's missing? well we've seen it so far in these playoffs..we saw it a lot in last year's playoffs..terrible shot selection, terrible idea of when to pass, terrible defense..
Manu needs to accept that he's not going to dominate every night..he needs to realize when he's cold, and play within the offense..
He's being flashy. He's trying to make the spectacular play too often. He's making poor decisions. He's dribbling into the lane and passing the ball behind his back to Tony Parker who has to jump three feet in the air to keep it from going out of bounds.
Translation: Manu needs to stop trying to make the fancy play and just make the right play.
Ginobili is trying to act like Magic Johnson, when he really should just be acting like Ginobili.
Saw what in last years playoffs???? Manu's passes were a lot more sound last season. I thought Manu last season was brilliant in taking what the other team gave him and he played within the offense for most of the playoffs. He didn't try to do too much in last seasons playoffs. He made better decisions and his passes were better too.
Agree. Manu needs to be Manu . The last two games, he hasn't been Manu.
it's almost as if it's been one of those crazy mix ups that happens in movies, where some guy or bum who looks like Manu or an inferior Manu clone wandered onto the team airplane by mistake...
He has been Manu. This is Manu on occasion and you need to deal with it. Manu is brilliant, and Manu is wonderful, but on occasion Manu is really ing stupid. Hopefully really ing stupid Manu takes a seat for the rest of the play offs or at least for the rest of this series.
